Indy is over now. It's only the Petit to the finish. I hope the weather holds, but what would the Petit be without some kind of strange weather condition on at least one of the days. Hell, we've had the threat of tropical storms, snow and torrential down pours. Only twice has the race been shortened due to weather. Not planning on another one of those.

Oddly enough I was just talking to my girlfriend about how surprised I was there hasn't been much rain during the races the past few years. Heck I think even the rolex has been rainless since 2020

And he is on it, at the top of the Esses every lap is BANG on the shift. Faster than WTR Caddy and R8. But this crew made it 2 laps before black flag for someone but wasn't any of those guys

Oops, he lost the rear cover and then lost fastest lap at mid 1:18 for R8 and low 1:19 for ESM.

Yes, yes it is. 96 Mazda Kudzu DLM. So far all the body work is still attached but it did come back out with a new shiny muffler out the back so there's still time for a Mazda fire

Still trying to track down a replacement radiator for the van. So far they've had 4 radiators delivered and none of them were a match. Seems that GM used different oil cooler fittings for the GMC Savana 3500 van with the 8.1L HD engine. They think they have one coming that the correct one. Pictures of the fittings were taken and verified before shipping. If things don't go right, I'm going to have to add a trailer hitch to the Ford F150 that I'm borrowing. That's going to set me back about $550.

On the plus side, I'll probably inherit the truck soon. 2004 F150 with only 58K miles on it.

Today I verified the SAT dish and Wally receiver is in good working order. Checked all the tire pressures and now have the freshwater system sanitized and ready to use on the motorhome. Wife is working on the check list and getting all the bed linen washed.

Just got a call that the correct radiator for the van has arrived. Now just waiting on installation. Always seems to be something that creates drama for the Petit. Would have hated the idea of camping near turn 6 and viewing from turn 10 without a golf cart for transportation.

So Road Atlanta....sorry, Michelin Raceway, Road Atlanta must have dumped old, not very active accounts. I've been going to PLM since 2000 and just had to create another new account to purchase tickets.

And MAN!! Do you remember when it was $10 to park in the infield??

Yeah but it snowed and had to walk pit out hill both ways every day been then too

I've been going there since the first year of the Lemans series. Never missed a year so my account has been current every time. Might be the case that a missed year takes you out of the que.

Ya, prices are up but it's still a great deal for what you get. I take full advantage of the experience by starting out on Tuesday and staying at the track till Sunday morning.

Lord I originally started going in the mid 90s to see the motorcycle races, I still miss gravity cavity.

I've started my departure countdown and am slowly getting all my stuff together. Here's hoping they just wave us through and don't do any through searches for forbidden beverages

Yes, I've been going for events or many years prior to the Lemans Series, but it wasn't till Don Panoz recreated the Lemans environment that I started to go year after year. There is no track that has the same environment and feeling that Road Atlanta does. I am so looking forward to going back again.

Agreed. I go to the Rolex as well and while it is a great time, I feel it's mostly for the event and atmosphere. I feel like for overall race experience PLM takes the top
