With ref to my post about Yimkin a month ago, I have just found the receipt for the work they did; it may not show up very well on screen but the firm was called Yimkin Engineering Ltd in association with Gordon & Glynn, technical Director Jackfairman. The prices charged, £20 for a polished head valves and stronger springs, then the labour £27 to strip the engine and gearbox and replace. wish it was like it now

Good job Tim, that was an extremely enjoyable scroll-through, and although I didn't know him, I would like to offer my condolences to his family and friends.

What a fantastic range of beautiful shapes and forms, oversteer and blur. There were really some wonderful shots there, I especially loved the composition of this one.

Thanks Fred (and thanks for the thread Tim). Wonderful pictures that will stay in my memory for a long time, which seems like the most fitting tribute for such a skilled photographer.

Hi All
Further to discussions with our Historic Racing Forum moderator TimD over the weekend, I have this morning sent a 'With deepest sympathy' card to Fred's home - the address I found in the Autrosport directory, addressed to his family together with a letter saying who and what we are. I have also enclosed a link to this thread. As suggested by Peter above, I'm sure you will also agree that it would be nice for his family to see it.
