I've found my favourite one here. In plain green and gold.

I think my favouite touring car liveries would be the black and turquoise Vitaphone Opel DTM of Michael Bartels, the green and white of Mint Motorsport and the 1997 BTCC Ford Mondeo. I can't say I have been overly fond of any the Vauxhall liveries since they ditched the white and yellow design in '97.

Andy Priaulx's BMW of last season - already mentioned I know - was a stunning looking car. Uncluttered and stylish. I really don't like the SEATs in the WTCC, a mish mash of advertisers and colours. Detracts from the car styling itself. Personally I loved the Laguna from the 90s (with both liveries), they worked well.

Even they weren't that great - no contrast between the colours, I thought it made the car look quite flat. Cleland's "Masterfit" car was quite a good effort, tho.

IMO, best liveries (all a bit old-school) - the '89 Astra, the Datapost Escort, and the Minshaw Demon Tweeks cars, Soper's Texaco Sierra.

Worst / scariest - David Pinkney's pink & white Sierra.

Schnitzer Eterna BMW 635, ETC 1983
Garage du Bac (Trio) BMW 635, ETC 1986
JPS BMW 635, ATCC 1985
Texaco Sierras
Bastos BMW 635, ETC 83, 84
Bastos Rover Vitesse ETC 85,86

Call me old school, but great looking cars without the livery. So a decent paint job could only improve on a good start. Unlike the chav stuff we see racing nowadays, especially in BTCC. Stirctly IMHO of course...

Just for discussion, how so? Boring paint scheme? Relies too much on the sponsor and not independent colours?

For what it is worth, my favourite livery has to be Dave Brodies' "Run Baby Run" of the seventies - Black with gold pin stripes (as seen in the 1972 BSCC).

And yes I am an old f**t!

My dad used to jalopy race a 3.8 Jag Mk2 in mid seventies. He had "Run Baby Run" written on it too! Happy days

Watching South African touring car championship (1996) review i found two beatiful cars: Both Audi A4s with Rothmans colours, driven by Moss and Aberdein, and Bailey´s Toyota Camry. Unfortunately i haven´t photos to post here.

Best for me are the Jag XJ12 Rouse cars and the Green XJS machines.
THe Basts Rovers were nice and simple
Castrol Carinas looked good
Eggenberger RS500 is nice.
As for worst, hunderds of M3's in the eighties!
Patrick Watts Xedos was hideous as was the gold and green 406!
Martini 155 was never suited to that livery!
And i hate these new DTM ones with all the airbrush work, the quality is amazing but the inside engine bay look is too intricate, can hardly try and copy that onto your matchbox car when you are 10 can you!
Hated also the yellow Vic Lee 406 coupe and orange!

Guilty as charged...although when I put it together for John, there was no lurid green. That was his later contribution!

Gerben24 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I always loved the 1993 DTM Alfa Romeo, with the logo on the bonnet and the big number on the roof.
