Just watched a great MX-5, those cars race so good on such a variety of tracks.

Is IMSA tv down for anyone else or just me? I was trying to find the start time for the 4hr race, can anyone enlighten me, (UK time) thanks

Figured I'd post this as a reminder for timing. There is a timing71 extension for Chrome. When you access the alkamel timing website site using chrome browser, you'll get a "Launch Timing" option. This will give you access to adjusting the delay to sync with whatever video source you're using, edit columns, and usually have access to race control messages.

Mine popped up earlier this week and the window opened, but the actual page failed to load....hopefully it was a bug that got worked out and not a "me" problem.

Edit-looks like it sorted itself out. Splendid!! Never knew about the delay feature. Working well for the Challenge Race.

Still lots of work to do and no track time until the start. Well, there's no warm up listed but I'd assume that at some point tomorrow they'll be allowed out for a shake down before a formation lap.

Interesting to see IMSA sticking to the rules so hard here. But the NTE Lambo which was doing repair work during night practice had to change driver lineups today because one of their drivers had no night experience at Daytona. Kerong Li had no night laps at Daytona previously so he was not allowed to run and will instead be replaced by Robert Megennis. I honestly thought IMSA would have let them run since damage from a practice session was the issue for not making the night lap requirement.

Especially since Daytona isn't really very dark at night anymore...

I’ve just caught up on this. Wonderful. The bump drafting, but not on the full oval. I worry I’m not going to see a better race all year.
It was so close. You’d think they’d have been more incidents.

Racer saying Don Yount who got a waiver stepped aside and being replaced by Megennis. Sounds like Li is still in the car but can only run in daytime.

It's not the darkness but the transitions in the overhead lights. Very different illumination and harder to pick up
