Stop teasing us
It's gonna be hard to choose for me, some friends of mine are on the grid at Spa for the Lotus-On-Track on Sunday. They have over 60 lotuses at the starting line. Not that bad I think.
The Euroboss however at Zolder is only 15 miles away from home
Hard to choose... Well I will be in Zolder for sure on Saturday.
Now for my Euroboss Wish List, I would like to have; Some benettons in almost original livery, combined with some Orange Arrows sauce

Looks like a great entry list, it's too bad Klaas is not there also, because Klaas against Nigel would be a good fight. It is even more sad the Arrows couldn't make it to the grid. As we know mr Hansford, mr Wagner and the Woodcock brothers all have such a nice Orange Arrows. I was hoping to see at least one at Zolder, but I completely understand they couldn't make it, as I know they are very complicated and expensive cars to drive and maintain. It's just a pity, but the Benettons and the other cars will look great. Christian and the others, how can I recognise you, so I can come by and say hello.

Mr Hansfords trousers are in fact shorts it doesn't notice due to the length of his legs.

Great to see Dave Shelton entering 3 of his Kokney Koi Benettons as these cars are in original livery as are all the F1 cars entered for Zolder. Couldn't see a battle even if Klass had attended Nigel is head and shoulders quicker than any of the current drivers. The third Benetton is for rent it would be nice to see a Belgian driver in the car for his home race Bernard de Dryver has been active recently.............

NO, the third Kockney Koi Benetton is not for rent-this car has also a driver!
The little funny "problem" is, Dave had not said to Roger the full name of the third driver. Possibly it is a surprise or a business deal or a pseudonym or... I don't know, but we will see on Saturday!

Intriuging..............There is already one driver in this series racing under a pseudonym..........Reminds me of the 70s with drivers running in British F1 with pseudyms such as "Gimax" and Ricardo Londono Bridge, you also had "Stingbrace" in the mighty Thundersports series and not forgetting the late Euroboss driver Frederico Careca also known as James Bald and Pierre Chauvet.

BOSSman should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
EuroBOSS @ Zolder 2008

Hello from a very hot day/evening at circuit Zolder, here are the qualifying and race results from day 1.

Qualifying
1. Ingo Gerstl
2. Nigel Greensall (only one flying timed lap, because of a very late start from Nigel and then we had a red flagged qualy 5 minutes before the normel finish)
3. Peter Milavec
4. Joachim Ryschka
5. Frits van Eerd
6. Carlos Tavares
7. Ian Dockerill
8. Karl-Heinz Becker
9. Jens Renstrup
10. Henk de Boer
11. Christian van Hee
12. Walter Colacino
13. Alain de Blandre

Sprint Race - 15min
1. Nigel Greensall
2. Ingo Gerstl
3. Karl-Heinz Becker
4. Joachim Ryschka
5. Carlos Tavares
6. Henk de Boer
7. Peter Milavec
8. Christian van Hee
9. Walter Colacino
10. Jens Renstrup

Not start or not finished
11. Frits van Eerd (from the pitlane but only a half lap - electronic problems)
12. Ian Dockerill (could not start - engine blows in qualifying)
13. Alain de Blandre (only a half lap - "mystical" technical problems)

Easy win for Nigel Greensall with a 20sec distance to Ingo Gerstl!
Very entertaining and close battle between Becker, Ryschka, Milavec, Tavares and de Boer!
Milavec lost its third position in the last round because of to less fuel!

Latest news for the main race tomorrow after the warm-up!

http://picasaweb.google.be/gert.vanh...ey=fDk0djCFPGA

Here are some pictures of today.
As Christian already said, a nice race. Nigel Greensall starting a bit conservative, but once he got into his rythm, he took Gerstl for diner, and sweet victory as his dessert. He really made it look easy.
It's a shame Van Eerd's Tyrrell didn't make it to the grid, I believe he qualified in his white Tyrrell, then took the black one, starting from the pitlane, but as Christian said, he couldn't even make one complete lap. In fact only a minority of F1 cars made it to the starting grid. We all know how fragile and difficult to maintain they all are.
Let's hope they can fix all cars for tomorrow!

Great photos Gert. I notice that Jodie Hemming is on the "poster" advertising Zolders 45th birthday meeting.
Christian why did Dave Shelton not appear? Ian Dockerill is a GT racer with Porsche and his co-driver happens to be Nigel Greensall.

Thnx! If any one wants a larger picture, don't be affraid to ask. Yes it's Jodie's car with GP live adds on the wing.
Dockerill is sharing a Lamborghini Gallardo with Greensall this weekend at zolder. I knew that already some time ago, this way I assumed that the Kockney's would probably appear at Zolder. Dockerill had bad luck today as I was told he abandoned qualifying with a blown engine in the Benetton
Now his bad luck continued as they were not able to bring out the Gallardo in qualifying. Looks like Dockerill is cursed for this weekend.

Yes, you can see Jodie on the event poster, but this was circuit Zolder work..., in the race program we have the correct pictures with current 2008 EuroBOSS drivers.
By the way, if you change the 200(8) to a 200(9) is it possibly ok!

Dave Shelton is at home and send the commands from GB... and he gave yesterday evening unfortunately one of the most important commands of the weekend, 'Nigel can not start today', because the engine in Nigel's car is over the revision limit and must have the 'normal' rebuild! What a sh**!

Ian Dockerill is not only the co-driver to Nigel Greensall in the GT3 Lamborghini, he also owns the car!

If everything goes ok in the next minutes then we have for the 30min main race in about 1 hour (Zolder time) 11 cars on the grid! The two Kockney Koi Benetton's are sadly missed!

Perfect race weather, a good crowd, a full paddock and a superb demo from Frits van Eerd in his Ferrari F93A 3.5l V12! What for a noise!!!

You will hear from me after the race...
