This series was never really likely to happen over and above some of the silly claims that came out about entries. Just not attractive and budget too high.

The guy was not good enough for Scuderia Ferrari and he is currently too busy with his blue collar job at Lamborghini. He hasn't time for "minor series".

Horrible name to start. FIA introduced the F3 Regional concept but after the very same FIA doesn't allow the F3 Regional series to be called "F3"...

and of course, we still have british f3 being called british f3 when it isn't actually f3 in the slightest.

16-18 cars for the first round which is a pretty decent grid all things considering.

it'd be a bit late now for the budgets and whatnot. though i'm sure anyone would be desperate to swap one of the two repeat visits to silverstone and donington for pretty much anywhere else.

Seems like they will start the season with +/- 16 cars. Not bad for the first season. Hopefully, some FEM teams (Motopark or VAR) can still join in the future.

no, they don't. that's why they have the formula renault eurocup now using the regional f3 car, and yeah, british f3 using something similar. oh and the w series as well.

Renault now uses a Regional F3 spec car but isn’t called F3.

FIA’s preferred European F3 uses same basic car but isn’t called F3.

MSV uses non-any-year-ever fake F3 car but is called F3...

It’s like the Fawlty Towers of motorsport...

I'm still trying to figure out why Regional F3 series can't be called F3.
