The Milwaukee Mile

Just a few notes from Friday practice...

All three Team Green drivers, as well as Kanaan for Mo Nunn Racing, will be running Lolas instead of Reynards.

Oriol Servia never took to the track.

Chris Pook's mother passed away Thursday night. God bless.

Friday's top practice speeds:
Session 1: Brack, Dominguez, Fernandez
Session 2: Fernandez, daMatta, Brack

thoughts and prayers are with Chris Pook.

On the other things... Brack may have started a bit slowly but when it comes to an oval...

Only Player's/Forsythe, Walker, and Patrick are in Reynards... do you imagine Carpentier winning?

Also, I can wait to see the new KOOL liveries in action.

Curse the calander, why do we have MM, Canadian GP & LeMans in the wrong order or clashing every year. Why can a Gypsy only be in one place at a time.
Luck all at Milwaukee, hope Irene & the Course Observers keep it all under control, Play safe & be with you soon

Only nineteen cars at Milwaukee.

Fernandez pulls a final, blistering lap out of his hat and wins his second pole of the season, followed by Tracy and Carpentier. Dixon places fourth, outqualifying both of his teammates. And three-quarters of a second separates the entire field.

Even though he's 22 points back, I have to think Dixon is now a championship contender. This guy has a lot of talent, and I don't think he's shown it all yet.

But, I'll be going for Tracy at this race.

Great qualifying effort for Scott Dixon, given just one previous day in a Target car. And he states he could have gone faster but drove a little cautiously to ensure he had a race car tomorrow (as he has no backup.)

How good do the Team Green cars look? Love their chrome-look colour schemes. Tracy's also looks fantastic.

I'm very sad for Oriol Servia. He deserves so much better.

Go Pauly in second and Dixon in fourth.

I think part of the reason Tracy and Franchitti's cars look so good, is that they're so much nicer than the 7-11 branded things they use last week.

I think we can count Dixon in the championship battle. It seems Brack is out of it, as he sucks in the Ganassi car.
