If you did not know so for next year Russian drivers Pavel Kalmanovich or Mikhail Kozlovskiy moves to WTCC in Lada team. We have to wait and see being sent from the Lada next year according WTCC series, but the other driver would either Lukoil junior driver.

Russia's only team-members at the team are PR people (plus Dudukalo of course) - which wouldn't have caused a problem running the car. |

So a dominant 1, 2, 3 from Chevrolet in Race 1 then. A couple of talking points I notice...
Firstly, why are we still getting problems with race starts after all these years? The second lap looked still quite sloppy to me. Secondly, it's great to see Bamboo do so well after a lean period. Is this to do with the factory Chevrolet team announcing their exit from WTCC meaning Bamboo can really go for it now? Thirdly, with the withdrawal of Chevrolet, do people think this makes it more or less interesting for new manufacturers to join the WTCC? Finally, did Boardman really deserve his drive through? Does it annoy anyone else that the National Anthems in the WTCC are silenced out half way through?

I have to say that I wasn't that impressed by D'Aste's protestations about Boardman's driving and I feel the drive through was over harsh and undeserved. Maybe a reprimand after the race as the penalty all seemed a little marginal.

Not the best races in the world, I found them to rather boring and someone really, really, really, really needs to tell those drivers to line up at the beginning! Plus while there were people there, no home driver meant there were some empty looking grandstands...
Oh well, America next after two months, should be interesting to see how it turns out. |

Curitiba's a bad track. No real overtaking opportunities apart from the right hairpin and the left hairpin midway round the lap. I'd rather see them at Interlagos.

It also needs a better atmosphere. The past two races were rather stale compared to Hungary and Slovakia. I'm holding out to see if we get either Seat or Lada to enter officially next year have some much need battles between cars.

Even though Curitiba isn't the best of tracks, I enjoyed the racing.
Liked the racing a lot so far this season. Don't see the problem with Chevy's domination when it is 100% deserved. The great title chase in the independants makes up for the lack of excitement up front anyway. It does annoy me too. Either play it properly or don't play it at all. IMHO. |

I don't mind Curitiba at all, even though there aren't a lot of overtaking places it does always give entertaining races. It has risky corners, different sections that suit different cars, and there is always something happening in these races.

Apparently they're also frustrated how the recent BoP / succes ballast breaks made the Seat and BMW "only" 20kg & 40kg heavier than them, instead of +50kg and +70kg like prior Curitiba

They were nearly 3 secs a lap off the fast cars so a few kilos isn't going to help them get over that giant hurdle. Even the Lada in Portugal was 60kg heavier than the fords and still out qualified them!

Wowzers, when the numbers are added up it really isn't favourable for the Ford's At least all you can do is beat your team mate, something Nash has done consistently all season.
