Mr Revhead has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Unsure that era BTCC cars started as production shells? They were pretty hi tech race weapons

They were supplied by the manufacturer as a complete bodyshell, presumabley sans sound deadening, seam sealer, and other unnecessary bits and pieces.

It didn'r win or even finish but perhaps Alan Grice's (1988 was it) VL ute was pretty close to it's original form!!

Will gladly stand corrected, but I thought the Grice ute was 1990, a VN sponsored by Akubra, with a Bluey in the back . . . am I close???

Perhaps the question is actually three questions?

1. What was the last Bathurst 1000 winner that started life as a complete, standard production car?
2. What was the last Bathurst 1000 winner that was built up from a standard production body shell?
3. What was the last Bathurst 1000 winner that was built up from a manufacturer's specially produced body shell?
