Wish I could be there, unfortunately I have other commitments that weekend.

I like the scheduled 'LUNCH including F1 Demonstrations'... because the marshals wouldn't possibly be required during that, what could possibly go wrong...

Youtube banned on this PC - but I guess it's the Lotus fiasco.

At least you're not the one that has the responsibility moved onto them with that ever popular phrase (and I paraphrase here)
"You can stand down, but I leave it to the post chiefs to provide adequate cover"

At least we will technically have a lunch break, the alternative of keeping us all on post for one or two cars at less than race pace is not too popular with many.

Going to be missing this one, I will be on the other side of the barrier at Crystal Palace with the green meanie. This year I will have the added pressure of having to be rescued by fellow Marshals if I prang her! (that's why I was going so slowly, honest)

Hi Michael.
There were 2 "taster day" marshals on Post 10 today. Don't know their names as I was on 11. They had a busy day, 3 in the gravel trap and an 8ft wide oil slick to deal with, but they looked like they had fun.
bring suncream, sun hat, water and ear defenders/plugs. It's hot and noisy, but some great machines.

Nick.

PS thanks to the guys on post 11. Quite day, but nearly went pear shaped during the oil slick.

Had a really good weekend on post 9 - great crew, bolstered by two taster dayers on Sunday who certainly seemed to enjoy themselves and got involved in incident and flag duties.

Racing covered the full range from small grids to ones overflowing with great cars.

Breakfast and fuel vouchers appreciated, thankyou.

No more visits to Brands this year, see you next season!

Thanks to all the team on P17 on Saturday and Sunday for making it a great weekend, all the assistance with the flags and boards much appreciated (including for the invisible safety car).

A big welcome to our taster day marshal on Sunday - hope to see you around again soon.

The carrier pigeon never did arrive so if found can it please be returned as I suspect it will be needed again.

See folks soon .. maybe for the coming 4 day "weekend"

That was the "Eco" safety car Dave

Good but quiet weekend on 13a but a good team and some great cars helped pass the time

Will be seeing you for the 4 days next weekend, it seemed like a good idea at the time

I'd also like to say thank you to the crew on 23. A quiet weekend with only a couple of incidents. I was glad to put a face to a name again, thanks to Tim (Two Sheds) for a sterling days flagging, the incident guys and Steve our "taster day" volunteer who I hope had an interesting and enlightening day.

Indeed, and was good to meet you as well Ian. Still haven't forgiven you regarding the temperature at Silverstone HSCC last week though!
