1988 British F3 - videos & footage
Does anyone know if any footage of the '88 f3 champs exists? I own the Reynard that Roland Ratzenberger used in 1988 and it would be nice to see it in action back then.

I just bought '88 review and have watched first couple rounds.
87 was up but some joker won the bidding at over £30 squid. i wasn't prepared to go that far! 1990 is up but i'm not sure if I want that, 2 horse race all year Hakkinen and Salo made total mugs out of the rest. Best action from '89 IMO. One of the hardest fought seasons of F3 EVER. So many good drivers came through that year and not all of them made it..... |

I have the ex Raphael Real del Sarte car from 1988. I can only make out this car in the 1990? video as it was the car Mika Hakinen had to swerve to avoid before rolling at Snetterton. At the time it was driven by Charles Rickets. I would love to find any pictures of it in its day but i havn't found any yet. |

Because there were two championships in '78! Piquet won the BP Super Visco with Warwick second. This was reversed in the Vanderwell Championship with Warwick taking the top spot and Piquet second.

The BP championship was regarded as the better of the two. The Vandervell was originally the Shellsport in the mid seventies. There were also years where there were different sponsors such as John Player in '73 and Forward Trust in '74.
