Mike the Lola T70 looks different to me. Is it because the air scoops on the roof or the color scheme?

Think the roof has helmet clearance domes added, which make it look different. From the nose, I’m guessing a Mk3.

Must give a four door as yours when you reshelled it may be?
Always a pleasure to watch those again and again. Thanks Peter.

Hehehe, It is a car I have driven a number of times, owning a half share in it for a while. In fact we ran it with my engine. Then I bought the Triumph as neither of us really wanted to do alternate meetings or races. The person I shared it with sold it on a few years ago and has since briefly run a Mustang and then a BMW 2002. He just retired from driving this year, and at 75, has sold the BMW. That was also running at PI, Car #95, Pale Blue colour. He is the guy I told you also owned the DJet. He also has a Capri V8 'Perana' he used for Classic Targa rallies, ie Targa Tasmania. He has also sold that. http://www.my105.com/ListingDetails/id/9661

The BMW he owned

Is there a good reason to race a four door instead of a two door? Or just in cas you meet several nice grid girls and need room…

More the fact they were only marketed the GT as a 4 door in Australia, although some 2 doors were privately imported. I think the 4 door GT was local production. The GT500 was a 2 door Homologation special, made locally in limited numbers for Bathurst racing purposes, using GT running gear with some additions and improvements including large twin fuel tanks to counter the Mini Cooper S in endurance races. They are now sold for Lotus money. The Lotus was not used at that time because it was too expensive and did not fit in well with the retail price classes used, although it was also raced here successfully eventually.

Could it look like a Mustang but smaller may be? Might be called either Colt or Carla…
