Laurent Mercier has summed up the ELMS silly season. LMP2 is looking great, with likely more than ten, maybe even up to 15 entries, and also lots of varitey with Orecas, Morgans, and a Zytek, HPD and Tiga each confirmed.

Looks very promising. Hopefully the GT ranks will be similarly bolstered. There were certainly plenty of rumours about increased interest - particularly in the GTC ranks.

I'd not be rushing to say all those brands are confirmed. A couple have, as that article implies, a fairly wide gulf to bridge between intent and actuality (see Woodard HPD...).

Agreed, wait till the green flag lap of the first round till being excited about what's racing. All of those cars confirmed will not be there!

Because that reads like an advertorial to me - probably because it is. But that's the case for a lot of teams.

Hopefully they can pull the funds together and not spend another year on the sidelines.

Correct Simmi, KCMG is focusing on a WEC campaign. Also find it hard to believe Race Performance might enter 2 cars, 1 would be more likely IMO.

With grids looking to grow to 35 or more, ELMS is back on the way to it's glory days of 10 years ago!

Cool entry list but in my opinion we'll see little more than a half of those teams. I hope we'll have some gte variety, last year was only a ferrari vs porsche battle..

Like I said, this is a very optimistic list. Listing all entries that are evaluating or announced an ELMS entry. I think we should be happy if 2/3 of that list shows up.

After dipping its toe in the water this season, KCMG will compete full-time in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2014, while also eyeing an additional LMP2 program for the European Le Mans Series.

With intentions of retuning to the Asian Le Mans Series, while also evaluating a potential effort in the ELMS, KCMG could be present in three of the four ACO-blessed sports car championships next year.

Race Performance has experienced ups and downs in 2013, but Michel Frey is a man who should not be written off. The Swiss owner/driver revealed that he’s working on a European program with two cars, one being an all-gentleman driver lineup.

Understanding this is a very early list but who might these teams be?

The only two teams that realisticly could field a private C6.R are larbre competition and V8 racing.
The only american team that owns (or maybe owned watching what remained of the car after le mans crash) a lola b12/80 judd is HWM.

The car was co-run by Status Grand Prix, and I did see a tweet in late autumn from one of the head people at that team saying that the car was actually fully rebuilt after the Le Mans crash, so they could still run the car in theory.

What happened to the Dyson Lola?

I read that the Dyson team is sitting out 2014 to see how the dust settles in TUSC. I fully expect to see Chris Dyson competing in some European endurance events.

As for the car, haven't heard or read anything about it being sold or leased.
