In the case of WSR and certainly HARD losing their sponsors, the sponsors were driver dependent. Seeing as neither team has a confirmed driver and no title sponsors behind the teams, of course they have no title sponsors. Not necessarily change...

That was certainly the impression I got, they were planning on running 2 Audi's and would of run the focus had they got a 3rd TBL. Driver wise, Hamilton & Hill have to be the lead contenders, budget permitting.

The flip side is at least the teams know they have a guaranteed entry and can negotiate with potential drivers and sponsors on that basis.

There were a number of teams claiming to be looking at running extra cars next year. They could have spent a lot of time and effort negotiating with interested parties only to find that they couldn't get a TBL and having to renege on the deal.

any idea what will happen with the old Eurotech Hondas ?

they could be a good choice for a team like HARD , Houseman racing etc specially if they can put it the newer Honda engines

Won't they simply upgrade their current Civics to Type-R spec?

Jeff Smith said Dynamics were building new Civic's for them, so looks like the cars could go elsewhere!

To be honest anyone running the old spec Avensis would be better off picking up some second hand cars, potentially the Eurotech Civic's, MG 6's or possibly even a couple of VW CC's or like Speedworks invest in a new Avensis, but I'm sure the second hand options would be cheaper.

Think we could see a VW Cup driver although not Marcano, probably needs another year. There are some decent drivers in that bunch though.

I have higher hopes of Alex Martin next year, I think there is potential in there if he can avoid scrapes.

Second Speedworks is fascinating, not sure who that could fit.

Interesting to see if Scott or Smith step down from their team manager roles to allow a Menu or a Jack Clarke into the line-up.

888 and Goff again would be good, Harrison is still referring to the team as MG so maybe they will stay on.

Would love, love, love to see Giovanardi and 888 together again. Snowman's in hells chance though...

Call me mad but I really don't want Scott to step away from driving. I genuinely believe he could have been on the podium at Silverstone if he hadn't have had that accident. His pace is getting better and better and really do want to see his face when he finally makes his breakthrough.

Could The Man Who Can't Be Named be heading for Speedworks? He's linked to TD before but I think Speedworks is a bit more affordable?

in other news Jordan is very impressed with the new RML kit, he claims the cars now feel much more like the old S2000 cars and setup work is again more intuitive

I think you may have got this. Picture of the HotRod with Tingrams Avensis earlier in the year... Guesses, guesses, guesses...

Personally would be mega annoyed if Clarke and didn't get a drive. Surely part of the deal.

Looks like you'll be mega annoyed Lee, I had my money on Clarke too but as Minicross says, it's Simpsons ride.

If Clarke is left out he must be absolutely gutted. As Hondas self proclaimed junior driver it should have just been a formality to get him in the extra Honda.

I don't believe the chat about Mat. I'd say he is pretty much in with Motorbase already, it's the second seat that is a little less certain.

1st seat is already taken by Jordan

They're going to take the place of Jeff Smith's Vectra in forum folklore.
