From road car to Racing Car
Does anyone of you know how this magic event happens? I was wondering especially how do they start working on the setup, as for the engine and gearbox parts there is pretty much of a well-known path.
Any ideas? |

I can only give you some links that might give you an idea. The first link shows how a BMW E90 is being prepared for WTCC:
http://www.terato.com/cars/content/view/237/39/ This second link is a short clip on what happens when the car is completed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqkJstRAR0Y Here is another interesting link on how a touring car is prepared for US racing by Turner Motorsport: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/imag...ps/index.shtml I hope these links are of interest! I like them very much. Enjoy! |

This used to show something like that, putting all the parts into a empty chassis, but it seems the youtube entry has expired. Im sure you can get the video from FlashEngineering though if you are interested.

I think the Turner M3 mentioned above is pretty close to Group N. Not by the letter of the rules, but it is a showroom-stock machine.
