But I agree with you, it would be much more interesting if they introduced track based compensation weight. That way they will eliminate both dominating cars like Hyundai on twisted circuits or Audi on fast circuits on these kind of circuits and also stop 'punishing' the best cars like they did to Hyundai on Zandvoort, VW on Slovakiaring or Audi at Hungaroring.

If it works in SRO series, why won't it work in WTCR and TCR Series championships?

30 cars in one second on 6km long track promises great racing.
You're right, it's compensation weights
Yes I think that something like Bop of SRO would just work better.

In Suzuka I expect the two VW flying, especially Huff

Yeah, Bennani is again faster then Huff.

Comte and Ceccon on poles for race 1 and 2.

Cars with smallest engines on top

there’s something very wrong with their bop when they have so many huge swings in performance

I'm very disappointed by the VW. Huff is nowhere with the car, I really don't understand.

Anyway with lower weight and more power Alfa and Peugeot are dominating in Japan, the land of Honda
Ceccon take pole for race two, Tarquini best Hyundai driver until now 2° and Comte 3°. Again Bennani faster than Huffy.

Ceccon has adpted really quickly in the FWD, I hope Italy has find a sort of a new "Piedone"

Uhh, once again I can't find a way to watch this. Nothing on FB.

Really hope they set up a good livestream for next year, so, you know, people can actually watch their series...

It was on Europort. To save you looking, races 2 & 3 tomorrow will be on Eurosport as well

It wasn't listed on the EPG and there aren't any repeats listed before races 2 & 3 either.

This series deserves to fail, given how poorly run and promoted it is. Either that, or get it away from the FIA & Eurosport.

the alfa all of a sudden being super competitive underlines the fact that the tcr bop swings way too much

Surely without "bop" the Alfa would be a lot less competitive I suspect. But in Suzuka I expected a good Alfa. Credit to Ceccon, he drove brillantly both in qualy and in race 1 and he got this fantastic win. I suspect he has found his "enviornment" in touring car

Anyway, is there any possibility to re-watch the race?

Weirdly it was on Eurosport 1 SD and I only found it via the search function on my sky app. However the first 20 minutes of the recording was adverts and fillers, then it missed the end of the race because of the safety car.....

I waited till now to watch a replay of first race on TV, and got a replay of qualis. Just great. Races 2 & 3 will be replayed several times throguh Sunday, but Race 1 was not shown a single time beyond live coverage.

This series is a nightmare to follow, why was the race not streamed on Oscaro website this time? Race 1 was only online sice the beginning of the season.

Seems we spoke to soon. Ceccon has been given a penalty for being incorrectly lined up

I forgot to record it, but apparently the was a incident in one of the earlier races so the timetable ran running 15 min or so late.

That's Euroshit for you. Garbage broadcaster.

That was more like a BTCC race 3 than a WTCR one! Tarquini's got this championship pretty much won now.

He has a poor history in Macau unfortunately. Not a good place to play a championship finale. But better to start with +30 points rather than start with the need to recover that gap

No one talks about the contact between Muller and Michelisz in race 3? Strange...

How can anyone not in Europe watch these races now? There used to be a few reliable YouTube channels that uploaded races right after airing, but those seem to be gone now.

Don't forget Tarquini crowned his first and only WTCC driver's title at Macau in 2009...

Yeah. It is really frustrating. I've found Race 1 in Russian https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B6uaFao83g
Also Oscaro are creating 23 minute highlights of each event. Wuhan took 1 week to come out as did Ningbo so you you will behind but it shouldn't be taken down. Just find the right language and watch away https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...oVa8WFfUyjs0Xm
I just regularly check for WTCR to see if full races have been uploaded. I ended up watching a spectator cam of Race 1 for Turn 1/2 at Suzuka. No screens of the rest of the action but did see Huff and Ehrlacher collide and thought it was a little unfair for the penalty.

There is a site who upload races of the WTCR and actually the Suzuka races are available. But maybe it's better to not post the link openly here
