How come Moffat snr had a richly funded (?) team of all stars with Bond & Smith managing one year, then some other years hardly enough coin to get the Falcon coupes on the grid and skipped most of the rounds?

It would be wonderful if there was a factory backed Moffat Ford Dealer squad right up to present day - seeing that HDT could still be around after all with Holden's backing swapped but never ceased in the same time frame, then why not the same for Ford's backing? Presumably Mazda wouldn't have appeared if there was a continuous megabucks Ford deal.

Most certainly a Moffat Ford Dealers team would be a more competent recipient of Ford's $6m than FPR. Mr Moffat could have taken up duties in a continuing team's second or third car, most terrific.

Wasn't Holdens short lived ceasement of backing the reason the Brock Commodore road cars came into being. Backers of the Dealer team were repayed by being exclusive recepients of the cars ??

I take it going to FPR is the grooming process... and the "greater things" refer to whatever he does after leaving them? Or are they suddenly going to figure out how to stop the rot?

Motor Sport E-News has confirmed from Charlie the DJR and Jim Beam Racing are leaning towards fielding 4 cars, from where is the question will they buy Mr Biktek our or mabye PCR Thoughts??? I am also confirmed off the Jim Beam Racing Facebook bage from the Jim Beam Admin boys that the 888 chasis deal will continue into 2010 as their chassis deal is a deal with 888 Race Engineering seperate from 888 Racing. Can DJR deveolp a front running package in 2010, early indications are that they are well on their way, Time will tell.

With Brighty loosing Fujitsu to GRM, why does he not take his license to DJR and join them for 2010, then DJR have the 4th license and Brighty has a drive

If my memory serves me correctly (and I wouldn't necessarily count on this...), didn't Paul Cruikshank work with DJR in the old days? I'm thinking Shell Sierra days.

Perhaps there is a mega merge of sorts on the cards. PCR, with Mr Coulthard, and Britek with Mr Bright joining a DJR 4 car team - with sponsorship arrangements similar to how the kelly gang do things?
