M-Sport signs new driver
Young German driver Anthony Warmbold knows his programme for 2003. Warmbold, son of ex-Mazda works driver Achim, will be competing in the WRC with a Ford Focus WRC of M-Sport
Anthony Warmbold, who finished 6th overall in the European Rally Championship with a Toyota Corolla, wants to start in every rally on the WRC calendar, except Australia. Warmbold got some WRC experience during the last 2 years, when he combined his programme with the European Championship. The German did some testing and was also part of the reconnaissance for some WRC rallies, recently the Rally GB Warmbold is 24. He has a contract with M-Sport for a custom Focus WRC 2002-specs. ---- My question...is this a kind of deal like François Duval had this year? Starting an old 2001 car (but later on getting the 2002 car)? |

Could this be an M-Sport contracted programme (in the same way as Prodrive Allstars) rather than a works Ford deal?

i think it could indeed be a privateer deal instead of a works deal.
