The Junior race is very oversubscribed.
Unfortunately only class E will be affected, thats a tad discriminating

CF3 grid looks very very thin, hopefully some racers still in hibernation that will appear later in the year
what bugs me is that people like me support the class all year long and that counts for nothing when the Monaco grid gets decided

Guards oversubscribed also

I am getting very very itchy to race, especially my trusty Ralt...

See You

I wear a short sleeved fireproof T-shirt over my regular fireproofs in conditions like that, you can feel the difference and I go better when I am not chattering my teeth

I agree, the CF3 grid is disappointing on the currently published entry list, but on the plus side, the initiative to encourage more 1600 cars out appears to be working.

Excuse the 'daft question' but this event is open to the public isn't it? The HSCC website simply states to contact Donington re spectator access, yet it quotes prices for a later meeting at Cadwell.

But on checking the Donington site I can't even find the HSCC meeting listed. Bit odd? I'll ring Donington tomorrow to ask re tickets / prices but wondered if anyone else has seen it advertised, i.e. re admission?

Donington didn't realise it wasn't on it's website when I asked them how I could purchase tickets this morning! The upshot is it's fourteen quid on the gate.

HSCC Donington

After the small entry at Oulton Park, HSCC has a fantastic eight grid race progamme, its fully subscribed with forty two cars starting the Guards Trophy. www.retro-speed.co.uk will be there reporting. And the weather looks good.Lets hope the dumper trucks are resting.

The Pace Motorsport prepared Elva owned my Michael Birch and driven by Alex Ames is having its shakedown race after the total rebuild.
They then can decide on years programme.
Gareth Burnett is playing the Team Manager role.Should be a learning experience for them all!

Don't expect miracles in short term.

Is that the one you were with at Spa 6hrs John?

Nice looking little thing. So many iconic and almost timeless shapes appeared back in the 60s.

Thats the one.At that point it was not ready to do anything as Pace had not completed resoration.First time it ran and wheels fitted(not quite fitted)was in paddock.Restoration has been completed during winter by Pace and had Colin Holt as advisor who was part of the 65 Le Mans Team. There are two of the BMW engined cars and a similar Buick engined car in Denmark. We will see what happens!
Look great.

We need to run the road B so if the weather looks fine it might get a run up the M1 on Sunday. My return to Qatar on Monday has been necessarily delayed by 10 hours. So no need to worry about an early night.

I know that I may be missing something here (or having a senior moment) and that I am easily confused but the HSCC meeting is on Sunday. At least I hope so or I will be having a wasted journey.

For those who are keen to see how things are going on at HSCC meetings this year, MST have introduced a live timing system, available here...

http://http://www.mstworld.com/timin...tm?series=HSCC

Currently it's still showing the WHT Final. It could prove to be a useful service on the pitwall as well, if you've got a smartphone.
