Which is an absolute joke, considering 2 of FPRs cars have done the same in recent rounds with no penalty.

But alas, now the championship will go down to the last round. Anyone would think the finish was rigged

Also love FPR having to resort to team orders.

Safety car was a bit of a crap decision.

They could've waited until it was definate that he was either going to continue on, or abandon ship. From where I was sitting, reclined on my couch, it didn't appear to be in a dangerous spot. Feel free to adjust my perception.

Although, Mr Schenken will defend his hair-trigger actions to the death.

They just dont like to leave cars stranded on the track early in the race.
I wonder how long it had been there though, dont think we got the full picture of this on tv

What i dont really get is why it took the SC so long to come in, surely it should have only one lap

If JW didn't receive a penalty all of the
888 haters would be frothing at the
mouth and continuing their '' favourites
'' call and the flipside is the decision
was a blatant attempt at making Sydney
more interesting.
It's a shame that this is the sort of

better take back your comments about FPR, its now been explained to why the wheel is allowed to rotate half a turn or so which is what happened in the two occasions you have referred to

MW got a penalty for it, but DR and WD both got away with the same thing (back then WD was second in the championship so they were trying to keep it close)

But it has been a deliberate attempt to make it go down to the wire, as seen by letting second get away with something, but penalising first for the same thing, thus resulting in 2 changes of points.

as i said see Larkos discusion about it during this race.

which is why FPr were not penalised at the GC as you hoped.

WD was penalised for this at Bathurst.

We didnt hear any complaints from roland about this.

jsut saying that whincup on quite old tyres is doing the same times as Bright on quite fresh tyres.

I really wonder if triple 8 just play with us and have heaps in reserve.

there is no way Jamie should be doing those times and there is no way Jamie should even be as close to the front as he is after the penalty

triple 8 certainly have the magic setup for their cars

edit i will point out that i wrote this when jamie was in about 7th (behind reynolds)

It was a full rotation for WD, so according to the wording, it should have been a penalty (unlike the one today where it was about 2cm of movement)

Reynolds wheels did about 45 roatations, and there was no penalty. Theres no grey area there, just blantend disragard for applying the rules evenly.

I can see this discussion will be pointless, so i'll go back to leaving you on my ignore list

As much as its a shame, thats what it has come down to in this series, contrived results.

Which is why more and more i barely bother with V8s, and ALWAYS watch GT cars/WEC

He's 17 points up.

Can someone tell me if there's ever actually been an incident in V8SCs involving the wheels rotating during a pitstop?

Agreed, a poor call, since the moffat car (from the TV vision) never stopped. Yes, coasting and from the racket underneath it, I thought of an other drive line failure.

On the other hand, the drive through to #1 was deserved. They stuffed up, took their medicine & got on with it. I'm sure someone would have liked the c'ship to go down to the wire, but I doubt that's why #1 was pinged.

No, but theres been a few close calls (mechanics ripping their hands away from the car in a hurry)

But theres huge potential for it...

Yeah, the potenital is there.

Seems like the only time they jump on it is when one of the commentators spots it on the footage.

Aren't all pitstops monitored by the officials? I don't ever recall hearing of anyone being penalised without the Ch7 crew dropping them in it.
