Many of us already use HANS.

Anyone seen one of these?

http://simpsonraceproducts.com/head-neck/hybrid.html

Tried it today at Sebring.

The straps are a little cumbersome first time but it is way more comfortable in the car (assuming the proper cut out is in the back of the seat cushion) and the belts feel so much better strapped down onto your chest than they do sitting on top of a HANS.

The Hybrid Pro is even smaller but not currently FIA approved.

Interesting talking to the designer - he said it has beaten HANS in all of the testing in terms of safety.

Looks interesting - do you still need the seat belts to come over at a certain angle like with HANS?

Do I see that correctly that it is suitable for different seat angles unlike HANS ?
So, possibly, one would be sufficient for saloons or Formula cars ?

Works with any seat angle.

I tried it in the car and it is way more comfortable than a HANS.

I've only just read all this . . . as I was ticking boxes on the check list for Spa next month, having just ordered a new seat for the Cortina it would appear I also need a new extinguisher

why do we get sold 2.25L of useless dust if we need a minimum of 2.4?
