I think thats it right there.

V8SA and the teams have been bleeding all year and they have made a decision to get take an increased revenue stream up front in order to get funds to the teams.

This is a short term benefit that may have long term implications for sponsorships etc

Potentially similar to the TEGA agreeing to decrease their profit share from 75% to 35% and then complain 12 months later when they recieved a reduced/non existent dividend :rolleyes
