Artwinter should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Senna and Piquet

A question for the experts. Did Ayrton Senna and Nelson Piquet have the same last name?

Let's see...

Nelson Piquet Souto-Maior

Ayrton Senna da Silva

I'd say "no".

One of these days i've seen an interview with Piquet, and he was asked why he didn't like Senna, and his answer was that Senna was too much arrogant, 'cause even in his first season in f1 he thought he was better than anyone else, and showed little respect to the other drivers. Piquet and Senna really hated each other.

Senna said once that his last name was Brazil, probably Piquet did the same thing. Hey, who knows, they might have been brothers after all

I lost all respect for Piquet when his reaction to Senna's death was a shoulder shrug and "That's motor racing."

That was nothing compared to the clown jumping on the podium like he had won the WDC at that very moment.

When Senna was declared dead in the hospital, Piquet was attending a racing event in Curitiba, he was interviewed live on a hotel hall watching the tv. He said that "It was a very sad moment for the brazilian people, and something should be done about security in F1." then he stated that "A driver is always aware of the danger in his profession, so that's motoracing."

That was his words.

I was just curious if they both had the same last name DaSilva as it is a very common name in Brazil.

Do you mean the guy who broke down in tears when they told him (after the celebation, before the press conference) that Senna had died?
