You beat me to it Stephen!!
All disciplines are needed for what looks like a cracking meeting! And, of course, a guaranteed early finish! Please volunteer to Sara if you can help.
Many thanks

Clios, Caterham Graduate, F Renault and SuperKarts, I think. Should be a cracking day.

I applied for this one as my first meet having just got my membership

How long is it normally before you get confirmation that you have been accepted please ?

Not done a training day or got my msa number yet so what extra paperwork would i need to print off and take ?

The essential qualities which you must have are that you are warm and breathing.

You will be welcomed, not just "accepted".

Don't worry about anything else - you will be looked after. You can normally expect passes about a week before the event. If you have not had anything by then either ring the person you volunteered to (BARC or Donington ES Team?) or check on here whether others have had their passes yet.

Neither a training day nor an MSA number matter at this moment.

Perhaps see you there.

Regards

Jim Whitaker

As I said earlier, Sara is/was on holiday so I think she may have a backlog of people or will deal with them when she is back. I'll post if and when i get my confirmation

I'm going to need to borrow an Orange Rompa suit and gloves for this meet, I'm not going to have my set by the time this meeting comes around.

It's interesting to read on the BARC website that trainee marshals (less than 6 months experience) will usualy get pit or paddock jobs, I hope thats not 100% true as It would be good to get out on the course and get involved.

If you have volunteered through BARC then I will see you at Sign On. If you want to go on the Bank, that will be fine. You may find that later on, you may want to try other disciplines, such as Pits, Startline Etc, but you will be more than welcome to be trackside. Don't worry about overalls, we can either lend you some, or just wear natural fibres that don't clash with the flag colours. i.e red, yellow etc. Please introduce yourself at sign on or contact me before hand if you have any queries.
Joyce
