And Craig Lowndes' Team Mate For 2006 Is......
... the subject of much discussion since the recent V8Supercar round in Darwin.
Whispers from the powder room have suggested that a currentV8Supercar icon, who is out of driving contract at the end of this year (but recently extended his Ford deal) has been linked with the second seat (with equal billing) at 888. It seems the word from the whisperers has Mr Russell Ingall lined up to take the other seat to Mr Lowndes, in a pair of Betta/LG Falcons in 2006.... Quite what that does to the SBR driving line up I am not sure... If indeed any of this actually happened

Has the Ingall/Stone Bros. or and the Ingall/Caltex relationship suddenly gone sour. If not i don't see Ingall going anywhere.

I did hear a rumour that the Ellerys were going into partnership with Mark Larkham but don't know if there is any truth in the rumour at all. If it was the case then that may leave a vacancy at 888. There are apparently a few possible 'sales' or 'part sales' happening in V8 Supercar teams and this may affect the possible driver movements at this time.

Ingal would be quick in a 888 falcon. Still running SBR motors he would have no problem keeping at the front with Lowndes I am sure. Interesting rumour.

The first 2 lines are part of this rumour... the 3rd one... well no, its not the current thinking.
Mr Halliday's sponsors should be joining the LMS team at some stage, so that's one seat filled.... |

Well i think if you guys remember this rumor of Ingall going to SBR was around last year as well.
I wouldnt see too much into it yet, cause at the moment Ingall is in his best postion to win a champioship and i cant see SBR going through all this trouble to win the championship if they knew that next their cars wont be caring a No 1 on the door!!! |

I dare say he was in a better position in 1998, leading the series at around the halfway mark, as opposed to the third place he is in now.
