About 2021 calendar (overseas race)
*Overseas rounds might change due to the influence of Covid-19.
*We plan to decide whether to change the calendar by December of this year.
*If the overseas round is canceled, an alternative round will be held in Japan. However, the impact of hosting the Olympic games may have an impact.
*Long-distance race may come back in 2021. However, due to the frozen vehicle development, the 500km race will be the maximum.

Autosport web is reporting GT500 2nd fresh engine.
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/639052?all

*In the sixth round, all GT500 vehicles introduced a second fresh engine.
*Autosport web reports comments from engine engineer and director from three manufacturers.

TRD (Takahiro Sasaki)
It is part of an effort to improve combustion.
Analysis and simulation have found a good direction.
However, combustion improvement was realized not only in the pre-chamber but also in other areas.
At the moment, the fuel restrictor is working, so it is difficult to experience the improvement in engine performance, but in the next round, the engine performance will be recognized.

Honda (Masahiro Saiki)
Due to test restrictions, it remained in normal evolution.
It is a development in the direction of ensuring drivability while increasing power.
The engine map and control data have all been updated.

NISMO (Mothiro Matsumura)
It has been improved to the extent that you can experience the medium and low speed torque of the engine.
The handling of the new ECU has also improved considerably since the 1st and 2nd rounds.

*Since it is cool in November, it is possible to temporarily raise the boost pressure of the turbo. Especially, qualifying "party" mode can be expected.

By the way, has anybody noticed how the Subaru has not self-grenaded itself this year? I hope they are finally over their reliability woes. The car finally seems competitive enough to have a shot at the title, as they were right on pace at Suzuka despite the 100kg of ballast.

Yes I think Subaru gets more reliable this season & I'm confident Subaru will be strong title contender. They were able to qualify on front row despite 100kg handicap.
At last race they were just unlucky on the SC timing.

About GT300 tire competition
*Currently, BS is ahead of rivals, but I would like to suppress excessive development competition.
*Mandatory tire replacement is one measure, but I would like to consider whether it is necessary to introduce it.
One idea is to extend the race distance, but it will not be possible to extend the race distance only for GT300.
*I think it's a contradiction for me that you shouldn't have excessive development competition while directing competition.
However, in order to continue the racing business and present interesting races, we believe it is unavoidable.

Thanks for that. It's good they can fight each other with different tyre companies. Bridgestone have always produced great tyres and it's good to have innovation without going over the top. In endurance racing it shouldn't be too much of a problem, but we'll see what they do.

Next season should be a great season, can't wait to see what happens. All the ingredients should be set up nicely for this series to continue thriving. Super GT has managed to find the right regulations to make it a success.

Hoppy Team Tsuchiya (#25) Suzuka race report
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/640314

*Porsche is not good at Suzuka with medium and high speed corners due to the moment of inertia because the engine is loaded on the rear.
*After the 5th round, the team conducted a private test at Fuji.
There, The team tried a balanced set-up of aerodynamics and mechanical grip.
In the Fuji round, the set-up relied too much on aerodynamics, so the team struggled in the actual race.
*At the practice session on Saturday, Matsui played a central role in setting up and selecting tires, and Sato confirmed these.
This confirmed that the direction of the set-up at Fuji was correct.
*However, Matsui was unable to break through Q1 in qualifying.
Still, Tsuchiya was positive. The team couldn't clear Q1 because it saved the soft tires for the final race.
*The tires for the Suzuka round were the same as the tires for the Fuji round.
*Sato was in charge of the first stint in the final race.
This is because Matsui, the second stint, can run more fuel-efficiently, which expands the range of racing strategies.
*Sato, who started in 20th place, overtook three cars and moved up to 17th place.
Tires are better than rivals.
*Sato proposed a four-wheel tire replacement on team radio.
*The team made a pit stop on the minimum 17 laps to avoid SC risk.
*As expected, SC was introduced, and after restarting, the team moved up to 12th place.
*From here, Matsui overtook #2, #60, and #65.
The overtaking point was from 200R to the entrance of the spoon curve.
Matsui was able to take advantage of the good traction of RR. This is thanks to Yokohama tires.
*In the end, the team finished in 9th place.
*Tsuchiya says that the reason why the team was able to get points at Suzuka, which it is not good at, is because his team strength has improved.
*Tsuchiya says that they have tried to bring out the Porsche sweet spot. he was working on it like going into the head of the person who developed the Porsche.
*The next Motegi is a circuit suitable for Porsche, so please support the team!

Shinichi Takagi had injuries from accidents at Super Taikyu (Okayama), reportedly there were some bone fractures. Fortunately he was okay and conscious.
Looks like #55 ARTA needs to prepare a substitute alongside Toshiki Oyu for the next race at Motegi this weekend.

GT300 weight handicap for next race will be : points x1.5kg (with upper rounding for the decimals)

According to Autosport magazine,
Honda (HR-420E) and Nissan (NR20B) have the cam gear train on the front side of the engine, while Toyota (RI4AG) has it on the rear side.
In terms of weight distribution, it is advantageous for the heavy cam gear train to be on the rear side.
However, Honda emphasized reliability and did not reposition the cam gear train of the HR-420E.

If Honda wished to do it, is it possible to reposition the cam gear train at next season? Or is it prohibited by engine freeze rules?

Since there is a development freeze rule for the engine block for 3 years, the cam gear train cannot be changed.

To be more precise, the engine block has been a homologated component for 3 years. I don't know if minor changes to it are not allowed.

Autosport web is reporting different tire development approach of DL and BS in GT300.
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/642000?all

<Dunlop>
*DL's strong performance this season dates back to the final round of 2019 tires for Gainer GTR (#11).
*It was a tire that emphasized putting a load on the front and increasing the sense of rigidity while cornering.
*This tire improved the understeering symptom of GTR. Not only that, using the same tires on the rear improved traction.
*Although this tire does not have exactly the same specs, it is used not only for GTR but also for RCF and BRZ.
*Tomoyuki Kujima (DL) says that it does not correlate with GT500 tires, but rather with Falken brand Nürburgring tires.
*BRZ can adopt a two-tire exchange strategy. However, no-tire-change strategy is difficult.
*Yosuke Fukuda (Team Gainer engineer) says that tires for cold conditions are okay.

<Bridgestone>
*Takahiko Yamamoto (BS engineer) says there is no evolution in GT300 tires.
*There will be no major updates for GT300 tires in near future.
*The image of BS tire development is to return the tire technology for GT500 to GT300 in the right place/ timing.
*Since development resources cannot be allocated to GT300, the direction is to develop efficiently including GT500 technology.
*That's a concern as the next two rounds will be used completely different tires for the colder seasons.

About FCY introduction
*The radio wave management situation in Japan is different from that in other countries.
*The linking combination of timekeeping systems such as MYLAPS is different from other categories.
*In the tests so far, there is not much delay such as the countdown of FCY introduction and the green flag after FCY is released. However, there is a dead spot in the course where radio waves are difficult to connect, and the signal display is delayed by about 1 second.
*In the future, we may consider using post-official posts as the main and wireless as a sub.
*But there are still problems. FCY's actual test can only be done at Fuji, Motegi and Suzuka. And it has not yet been confirmed whether the radio waves of the mobile phone work properly when the spectators use the mobile phone.

About next gen Mother chassis and JAF-GT
*As for the next gen mother chassis, I want to get a shakedown in 2022.
*The next-gen mother chassis will be delivered with the engine and roll cage attached, and the suspension, etc will be prepared by the each team.

*Regarding JAF-GT, we are thinking of accepting tubular frame monocoque in addition to CFRP monocoque for the cost aspect.
*Regarding JAF-GT aerodynamics, the dive plane and rear wing are subject to homologate, and HDF and LDF specs are not accepted.
*However, for JAF-GT, suspension geometry, weight distribution, center of gravity, etc. can be freely developed.

About relaxing restrictions on the number of spectators
*The number of spectators in today's Motegi round is 13,500.
*There is no change in the direction of managing the behavior of the audience.
*If a positive person of covid-19 appears, we will respond firmly.

About FIA-F4
*Next year, it will not be possible to put the rookie on the FIA-F4 as a scholarship due to schedule. This year's driver will be appointed as the challenge cup driver next season as well.
*Until 2021, the control tires are Dunlop.

Autosport web is reporting why GR Supra struggled with Motegi round.
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/643341?all

*Tsutomu Tojo (Team Tom's engineer) says that #37 suffered from lack of grip on the front and #36 suffered from lack of grip on the rear.
*Since Motegi is a stop-and-go circuit, lack of grip at the rear is fatal.
*Motegi has many medium and low speed corners, so it is a circuit that GR Supra of less downforce is not good at.
*Kazuya Abe (Team Rookie engineer) also says that GR Supra is not suitable for Motegi that requires high downforce.
*Conversely, GR Supra is likely to play an active role in the final round of Fuji.

Autosport is reporting Subaru BRZ GT300 race report.
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/643348?all

There is a theory that must be followed when adopting a two-wheel rear tire replacement strategy.
Iguchi says that when you have fresh tires only on the rear, do not push hard until the rear tires are worn. If you don't, the front tires will wear out completely.
However, he was in a position to overtake the GR Supra GT300 (#52).
This forced Iguchi to slow down.
Eventually Iguchi was pushed by the Gainer GTR (#11) and spun.
Iguchi says he may have been pushed because he was not fast in the middle of the corner.

Deleting tech freedom in GT300 would be a catastrophe - we already have plenty of GT3 racing. I enjoy reading about new engineering and constructors' tweaks even more than watching actual racing. And GT300 is almost the only place for it.

Autosport web is reporting Ryo Hirakawa's impression after Motegi round.
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/643465?all

*Hirakawa says that compared to the NSX, GR Supra has poor fuel economy and takes a long time to stop the pit. and it is also inferior in downforce.
*He also says that Honda has excellent engine performance in cold weather.

*Fuji is a suitable circuit for the low-drag GR Supra.
The peak power confrontation of the engine at Fuji is noteworthy.
