[VASC19R15R16] BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown Hidden Valley Raceway Jun 14-16

This time in the Virgin Australian Supercars Championship.

The Championship travels to the very warm top end of the Northern Territory for the BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown event, a very popular weekend for the drivers, fans, teams and more. Will series leader Scotty Mac continue the Red Mustang streak? Will his villain the Red Bull Holden Racing Team and their blue and white Commodores become victorious? Will there be a cat amongst the pigeons and beat the usuals? Stay tuned, same Supercar channels, same Supercar times.

Thats a bonus.

Pither didnt do himself any halm the last event.

GRM not happy with no results. I guess thats what happens when you sack your main game driver for inexperienced youth, however thats what My Boost Mobile wanted right !!!

Please somebody get rid of that blonde piece pit reporter!! There are plenty of much better options out there, who will ask intelligent questions, and not ask a question that, if she actually listened to what the bloke just said, she wouldn't need to ask because he just said it!!

Been a bit quiet in here (& must admit personally that my focus has been more on La Sarthe this weekend).

"Controversy" over the Commodore aero tweak seems to be a storm in a thimble and Saturday's race was a bit wild to start with but settled down, other than a pit stop "blue" from Tickford with Mr Davison (I only see the highlights package so limited in true knowledge). Not a great race for BJR though with some damage to a couple of their cars.

Sunday's qualifying has been red-flagged due to a big shunt for Mr Percat (looks like the car MAY be out for the rest of the weekend) with Mr M Jones going off track to join Mr Percat afterwards. BJR wouldn't really be enjoying Darwin so much I suspect.

I feel interest has waned significantly irrespective of other motorsport interests, this thread is a good example of that, in my opinion.

Certainly a comparison with the recent TCR threads is striking.

It is some what of pain, even my wife is not at all into motorsport, questions why they have women asking questions. wouldn't it be better if they actually raced and have an understanding.

It is there to get the female fan base.
If you look closely , she is wired and sent to drivers on command of the producer/director of the broadcast;

painful as it is, it is a necessary part of sports these days.
look at he NRL, AFL just as painful .
but we have to have them

just hit mute button

That race would have put a glass eye to sleep. Interesting Whincup revealed he has a cracked chassis, not sure how that happens?

Why is it called the Triple Crown, when there's only 2 races?

It goes back to when their were three races on a weekend.

But just another example of how motorsport makes if difficult for the average Joe to have any understanding of what is going on.

Scotty so impressive and in another league. Time and Time again his professionalism shows though.

Cannot help but be impressed. Sorry to hear about his engineers loss

For me, the racing has become boring I fell asleep during both FTA telecasts, I'm quite a fan of DJR/Penske but even that couldn't keep me awake, the most exciting thing all weekend was how poorly the 888 team were going, The TCR races were a good change as there was a lot happening all the time, maybe Supercars needs a whole rethink as it's all pretty boring.

It not really Supercars fault that Scotty is a class above.

Equalizing cars is one thing, but if a driver is just that good, there's nothing really they can do.

The best solution is Scotty leaves this year and has a crack at NASCAR/Indy.

They have to win the 2 races and win the top 10 shoot-out (Google is your friend - )
