Keith Lambert

I have just heard that sadly Keith Lambert has passed away.
Keith was a highly respected observer /chief observer with whom I travelled to many BARC meetings, particularly at Silverstone and Thruxton in the 70s and 80s, when we both lived in Bucks.
He was a smashing fellow and will be greatly missed by those that knew him.
R.I.P.

How very sad. I have known and worked with Keith for so many years. Not just a great observer but a good person to enjoy a day's sport with.

RIP Keith.

Sad news indeed, not only a good sort but a good tutor that was always more than willing to pass on advice.

I also knew Keith as a good and well respected observer mainly at Silverstone and agree that he was also a very nice man whom I spent many good days with when I was flagging. He was also there with good advice when I started observing. RIP Keith you will be sadly missed.

A fine observer and a gentleman. I fondly remeber many times on post with him at Brands and Thruxton when I was an Asst. Observer in the early '70s . He taught me a lot.

He was indeed a true Gentleman. I can remember him as my Observer at post 7 at Mallory the first time I ever flagged. He will be sorely missed. R.I.P.

Keith had not been in the best of health in the past few years but it was still a shock to receive the sad news.

I became one of his team at Thruxton when I moved south in the mid-1970s. He was an excellent observer in a quiet and unassuming way, nevertheless gaining the respect and friendship of us all in the way he managed the post. Our friendship continued in the many trips we made to marshal in Belgium, France, Germany, Holland and Monaco.

Keith Reddington and I had been regularly calling in to see him in his retirement to Weymouth and he seemed fine at our last visit, happy to remember the marshals and good times we had then.

He will be sadly missed by all those who had the good fortune to know him.

Keith Lambert

Very sad news that Keith has died, although I knew, via JT, that he had been in poor health for some time. Keith was one of the team who "looked after me" as I still tried to marshal, while my new business was going through the usual start-up problems.

Any news of funeral arrangements, flowers, charity, etc?

Hi George,
The only information I have is that Keith's funeral is this coming Thursday at Weymouth Crematorium at 10.00.

Adieu Keith, many happy days as lad helping out (usually spoting) in observers boxes at Silverstone. A lovely gentleman.
