A great weekend; pity about the weather. That Historic FF race was, to say the least, interesting - we were on Tower straight - we had seven on the grass coming out of Ireland, only one of which failed to continue, & three spinners who ended up in the middle of the track but were somehow avoided by everybody else.

It was nice to have a visit on post from Peter Glover, VSCC President, & on Saturday we were brought cups of tea by a BRDC member who had his motorhome on the members' campsite behind our post.

A good preview of the Oulton Gold Cup!

I would like to say a big 'thank you' to the VSCC who are doing so much to address the needs of marshals - well run meetings, contibution to expenses, discounted overalls etc - and - a President in Peter who is prepared to walk the entire circuit and personally thank marshals for their assistance.

Other clubs please take note ...

Interesting that the comments about the VSCC are so good ..... given that it was an HSCC meeting!

Normally at VSCC meetings the expenses are slightly more and there is a Marshals Draw as well.

Seriously though, the walkabout by the VSCC President, Peter Glover, was appreciated.

Yes Bug-eyed a joint meeting, shame on you!!

Although to be fair the HSCC were responsible for the marshalling side however the VSCC are starting to take marshalling seriously and trying to do more for us
