More on Bob Eccles and proof that I shouldn't speculate as I'm now proven wrong.

Bob Eccles and his 1600cc Lola T100 were on the entry list for the 25 Jul 1976 Mallory Park libre race so he can't have had the Richard Lester car (unless they shared and since when did sprinters share with libre racers).

The Irish SL100/6 stayed in Ireland I believe. Where did SL100/5 go after Barry White?

Allen, a lot of Speed Eventers did run in Formula Libre and it is within the nature of the beasts to share their cars. Maybe Eccles was having a run in the car to try it out prior to purchase? I wouldn't necessarily write off the link until you find Lester driving the car on the same day in a hillclimb!
