The Trans-Atlantic Group C/GTP Challenge is go!
The league will start next Sunday evening, 13th of November, on the famous Silverstone GTP track. Home of the British GP since the beginning of the Formula 1 World Championship, it has also played host to numerous sportscar events, like the famous Silverstone 6 Hours or the Tourist Trophy.
This year, it also staged the Silverstone 1000 Km race of the Le Mans Endurance Series, raced under awful conditions and won by Alan McNish and Stefane Ortelli on the Audi R8 run by the French Oreca team. The Schedule of the League will be the following: November 13th – Silverstone GTP November 27th – Suzuka GTP December 11th – Spa GTP (Christmas and New Year break) January 8th – Road America (All-Star Event) January 22nd – Watkins Glen GTP February 5th – Philip Island GTP February 19th – Riverside 1970 Long March 5th – Kyalami PWF (All-Star Event) March 19th – Le Mans (Super Special Event) (The races will be held at 23H00 CET/17H00 EST) Every week before the race, we will open the server to stage practice events, so that everyone can practise online before the actual races. Let me remind you that the focus of this league is to have good, clean races between the best European and American simracers. For instance, incorrect behaviour will not be tolerated and it will be severely punished if necessary, though we are expecting none of this (this “ain’t” F1 ;-) ) Being a Team Championship, we encourage individual racers to join with others to form teams; keep in mind though that we are not enforcing this rule, as individual racers are also invited to take part. Keep also in mind that every driver should rule the full rules, which we have posted in this thread: http://www.ntrl.us/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=167. In addition, the former teams in the League site (www.simracingportugal.net/gtp) have been reset, to allow a new registration by the drivers who raced at the former Inter-League Challenge. So, we ask everyone to register in the new teams (new teams/drivers, don’t forget to upload your new carfiles at the League site) Moreover, I ask everyone to invite colleagues and friends to race with us, as a full grid league is better than a half-full one. Finally, if you have any doubts or want to give new/more/better ideas, please post them at the official forum of the league (http://www.ntrl.us/phpBB2/viewforum....ba8e7b35ba7adc kindly hosted by the Nascar Thunder Racing League) So, see you at the track next Sunday evening ;-) The Group C/GTP Trans-Atlantic Challenge Team |
