I would say that the SEAT's will be strong here. They have a much lighter car compared to the BMW's and from what I have heard the track will suit the SEAT's quite well.

Missed that one, although it's not a change of class. Arkadi Pavloski takes over from Veronika Shemyakina but remains in SP.

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Interesting to see him back. Wonder if its a pre-cursor to a full-time program with James next year in the BTCC?

Why are there so many Russian (and Italian) drivers just out of interest?

Italian drivers are there because the event is in Italy, and it's the final weekend for their national championship.

Russian drivers are there because they have money (Petrishin, Smetsky) or see good chances to win something (Lvov, some SP drivers)

But I have no clue why so many drivers are leaving out the practise sessions.

Qualifying is complete.

A Honda 1-2, with Engstrom taking pole from Moller (where'd his pace come from?).

Ceresoli's SEAT is 3rd, as the Swedish Chevrolet's of Morth and Lundgaard line-up 4th and 5th, with O'Brien's BMW 6th - starting just ahead of his old car, the mean green SEAT of Nykjaer.

Well its actually the Danish Chevrolet team from DTC, altho Mörth is Swedish but Lundgård is Danish.

I think it can be 2 interesting races tomorrow, especially race 2 with reversed grid when the winniers have to claw their way back up again. Anyone know if Eurosport will stream the races?
