2017 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship

Welcome to the 2017 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship, now in its 15th year on www.tentenths.com

Named in the memory of long time custodian of the Supercars Fantasy Championship, the late Antrodemus , the 2017 game will see entrants line up to compete for the coveted Pete55 Memorial Trophy.

Stay within your salary cap to select your ultimate team of drivers in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, and score points based on the actual, real results of your drivers throughout the year.

One entrant one team too please. Now for the detail...

1. Salary Cap
Like all good sports competitions, the Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship has a Salary Cap, to make sure the richest entrants aren't simply able to buy their success.

The Salary Cap for 2017 is $2,000,000.

Under this Salary Cap, you the entrant can hire up to 3 drivers from the regular season Drivers List for your team. The choices can be from the same team, different teams or a combination of both.

You the entrant don’t have to use all of your $2,000,000 Salary Cap, but DO NOT GO OVER THIS CAP as your changed entry will not be recognised for that round.

2. Drivers List
Below is the Drivers List of pilots nominated to race at the Clipsal 500, Adelaide event, and their accompanying prices, for the regular season.

The driver valuations this year are based on a combination of 2016 VASC driver championship points, changes in teams & car brands, input from Ladbrokes betting markets, and a level of anticipation based on prior performance & potential.

The object of this competition, to win the Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship, is to accumulate the most points possible for the least dollars spent.

The Drivers List:
$1,200,000
Shane van Gisbergen
Jamie Whincup
$1,100,000
Craig Lowndes
Scott McLaughlin
$1,000,000
Will Davison
Chaz Mostert
Mark Winterbottom
$900,000
Michael Caruso
Fabian Coulthard
James Courtney
Tim Slade
Garth Tander
$800,000
Rick Kelly
Nick Percat
David Reynolds
$700,000
Jason Bright
Todd Kelly
Scott Pye
$600,000
Lee Holdsworth
James Moffat
Cameron Waters
$500,000
Tim Blanchard
Simona De Silvestro
Dale Wood
$300,000
Matt Chahda
Alex Rullo

The driver selection in the regular season is for the whole of a race weekend, regardless of the number of Virgin Australia Supercars Championship races held.

Driver Swaps
If an entrant has a driver that he/she chose for their Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship team replaced for the regular season for any reason, the entrant shall automatically have the replacement driver in their team instead of the original nominated driver.
If a driver in the above list is replaced for any reason by his/her team for the regular season, the replacement driver shall be valued as the original nominated driver.

Wildcards
Where there is a wildcard entrant for a regular season round, the driver of that entry shall be priced at $300,000.
On conclusion of the wildcard's participation in the regular season, you as the entrant shall automatically revert to your nominated regular driver line up.

3. Pirtek Enduro Cup
The Pirtek Enduro Cup is a three round, two-driver series at Sandown, Bathurst and Gold Coast.
During the Pirtek Enduro Cup, the entrant can choose to continue with their nominated regular season driver line up, or choose to change it (see Hiring & Firing below) to include the enduro season specialists that also participate in these 3 rounds.
Your driver lineup must still fit within the $2,000,000 Salary Cap, but you will be allowed an extra pilot, so you as the entrant can have a maximum of 4 drivers at these three rounds.

You as the entrant shall automatically revert to your nominated regular driver line up after Gold Coast, should you choose this option.
The price list for the enduro specialists will be confirmed prior to the Sandown round, once it becomes clear who is entered.

Wildcards
Where there is a wildcard entrant for a Pirtek Enduro Cup round, each driver of that entry shall be priced at $300,000.
On conclusion of the wildcard's participation in the enduro season, you as the entrant shall automatically revert to your nominated regular driver line up.

4. Hiring & Firing
As the entrant, you are permitted to change any or all of your drivers in the lead-up to any round of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, as long as you don’t exceed the salary cap or exceed the number of drivers allowed.
There is a cost to your Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship points haul to change your driver line up.
- First change = free!
- Second change = 50 points
- Third change = 100 points
- Fourth change = 150 points
- Fifth change = 200 points
etcetera, increasing by 50 points for each subsequent change.

To change your line up, see Team Announcements to announce your new team.

The deadline for making changes is the start of first practice.

Where the changed line up exceeds the Salary Cap or driver number limit, this will be communicated in this thread, for the entrant to correct for resubmission before the deadline. If the resubmission is not completed by the deadline, the previously nominated driver selection shall automatically stand.

5. Points:
The points accumulated in the Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship are exactly the same as accumulated in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship!
Whatever a driver scores at a round is exactly what that driver will receive here.

Driver points penalties will also be included in the drivers points here.

Round results and Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship standings will be posted here following the conclusion of each round. After the results have been posted, you can report on your team’s performance (or lack thereof). Show us how good you are at creating & distributing marketing communications.

Points are the same as the real drivers in the real series. If things don't seem to add up, feel free to point out the area of concern (nicely and to the point) in this thread.

6. Team Announcements:
Once you’ve picked your driving line-up, give your team a name, announce some sponsors, racing numbers, draw & share some liveries, find some grid girls/guys, mascots, overseas technical partners, your manufacturer of choice, then post here giving a detailed description of the copious quantities of hide your team will kick in the forthcoming season.

To make it easy for the busy scorekeeper (me), could you please condense the marketing communications into this form following your press release... for example...

Quote:
NAME: Ron Hodgson Racing
SPONSORS: Breville, Channel 7, Ron Hodgson Holden, Castrol, Singapore Airlines, Sample Industries, ASL Finance

#7 Rick Kelly ($800k)
#70 Alex Rullo ($300k)
#77 Michael Caruso ($900k)..... (Totalling $2,000k)
MANUFACTURER: 888 Holden Commodore VF2
Please use this format when making changes to your driving line up, to make sure the Salary Cap and driver number limits are not exceeded.
..................................................................................
Entries are open as of now, so start issuing those press releases, and get drawing!

Your team can be altered without penalty until first practice at Adelaide.

Comments/suggestions/queries/bribes(?) are more than welcome, either here or via PM.

Time to nominate your team ladies and gentlemen, encourage your friends to join in...

Straight Line Entrepreneurship Racing Rocks Supercar in 2017

GTRMagic is proud to announce that Jordan Belfort's infamous 'Straight Line Entrepreneurship' system has continued its support for his entry into the 2017 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championshp for a record fourth season.

Fresh off the back of an unheralded 3rd placing in the 2016 championship , GTRMagic has created & effected a detailed 200 point plan this year to propel the momentum of the team line up, in its hardware, in its performance to even more amazing heights.

Retained by the team in 2017 are a fleet of updated NASA-built Ford Falcon FG/X's, powered by Sodemo-prepared Ford Ecoboost 2 litre 1,500bhp quad-turbo engines.

Running two cars again this season, we welcome a complete new line up, as Mr Jamie Whincup & Mr Nick Percat join the team.

The infamous Jordan Belfort remains the team Oracle, shall continue to bring his more than colourful self along with an ever-expanding menagerie of endearing and loveable female supporters, with thousands of disciples of his financial systems & techniques to each round of the series.

Last year's party bus has worn out... but fear not... we have 2 B-double trailers for hospitality capable of servicing up to 80 people at a time, for the paddock. There is a cover charge for entry, red carpet, up beat music playing, 5 star meals, every beverage money can buy, and some of the most appealing hostesses in the world...

After a hugely underwhelming return to the championship last year, GAZ170 Racing team principal GAZ170 has raided the piggy bank. The Mercs have been sent back to Betty, replaced by couple of 888's best chassis with Ford panels on them.

Craig Lowndes and Fabian Coulthard will be doing driving duties.

After a run of top 5 championship finishes, Zoom Motorsport finished a disappointing 10th in 2016 and vows things will change.

Reading directly from the PRA press release folder, the team owner said "Yada, yada, yada, we'll do better this year I promise."

Meanwhile our drivers were disappointed not to have put on any weight over the break so as they could mention they have been in training and are the fittest they have ever been after losing eleventy kilos. However Rick did ask us to mention how good his hair looked and is hoping to stop Michael Caruso's run of “Best Hair in a Helmet” awards at the Supercar Awards ceremony.

We at RedZed Racing are ecstatic with our debut in the ASFC in 2017, having spent most of our history in Sports/GT cars. Our primary sponsor is Coke, across all three cars.

#300 will run the traditional white “Coke” twist over red livery, with support sponsorship from Stillen and Waverley Nissan. US aftermarket parts specialist Stillen, owned by expat Kiwi Steve Millen, has a strong Nissan history, and is proud to announce their entry into the Aussie market, teaming opening up a retail centre within Waverley Nissan, formerly owned by Garry Rogers. ASFC scrutineers are expected to spend a lot of time in the #300 garage, ensuring that the Stillen supercharger and turbocharger kits do not find their way on to the Altima. At this time, however, bribery negotiations have not yet taken place. Coke have agreed to allow the #300 to run a tribute livery at Sandown to honour the Millen run Nissan 300ZX class victory, and 4th outright, at the 1994 Le Mans 24 Hour. As a tribute to Antrodemus, Millen will add a stylised Kiwi to the Stillen logo, which will appear across the bonnet at all races.

#23 will also run the traditional Coke scheme, with Redheads firelighters coming on board as secondary sponsor. This announcement is sure to light a fire under the whole crew, and strong results are expected from this team. Simona will be dyeing her hair red before each event, and we hope that the broadcasters will refer to this car as the Redhead RedZed Nissan ...
We would also like to categorically deny the rumours that Julia Gillard and Pauline Hanson will be spannering on this car.

#9 will be special - Gulf Petroleum are about to announce their entry into the Australian fuels market by doing a deal with BP to take over their purchase of the Woolworths petrol stations. Following year long discussions with Coke, the #9 will debut at Clipsal with a hybrid Gulf/Coke livery, with an orange twist over pale blue. Gulf colours on a Coke layout! Coke and Gulf will also use Clipsal to announce a new energy drink - Gulf “Super Fuel” (Rocket Fuel and Jet Fuel were already taken). Manufactured by Coke and sold exclusively through Gulf service stations, the cans will also use the same Coke/Gulf livery. Coke and Gulf were pleased to have driver James Moffat on board, and both companies welcomed the number 9. That number won the 1968 Le Mans 24 Hour for Gulf on the GT40, and has significance for Moffat and Coke, harking back to his father’s famous Mustang as well as the 1973 ATCC winning GTHO and Bathurst winning XA Falcons.

Eagle Motorsport returns for 2017

In a move that comes with no fanfare or media coverage, 2015 Pete55 Memorial Trophy 22nd place finishers Eagle Motorsport today announced their return to the Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship.

The team has a fresh ownership and management model with "Murph" and "The Rat" in charge, dictating they "make the big calls", the fist being "we pick the colours". With that in mind the, somewhat strange for the year 2017, sponsor for at least the Clipsal 500 shall be Yellow Pages, based on The Rats Liquor King 500 Ford Falcon of yesteryear. Whilst Murph wasn't so happy with the choice, he was last heard saying "i go next though, right?"

In other news, they let new guy, marketing intern Larry, chose the drivers to campaign the season opener this weekend, Larry's jsut waiting for the guys to accept his Facebook friend request...we're sure they will
