E46 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Seat GT

The new Seat GT was this weekend testing in Jarama circuit for last race of Spanish Gt´s in Montmeló. The drivers were De Castro and Glez. Camino but previously Seat also was testing in Calafat with Vicent Radermecker. Although the car is derived of Toledo Silhouette this car is new. The car has a engine of 420 hp.(V6 biturbo) with secuential Hewland gearbox of six gears. According to De Castro the chassis and the gearbox are very good. De Castro did a best time of 1:35 in Jarama track in his first attempt (this year pole was about 1:31).
Benoit Bagur is the engineer of the car.
Antonio Rodriguez said that they want to build 25 cars to homologate the car. For the moment Seat Belgium and Seat France is very interested in this car.
The prize about 180.000 Euros.
Ahh!! the car has 420 hp with 32.6 restrictors, without them the car would be in 600 or 625.
The weigth 1100 kg.

Also I have read that in last months of 2003 or maybe in 2004, Seat would have a authentic GT car, maybe the Salsa model. Maybe a Supercar??? I don´t know.

The car is derived of Toledo Silhouette but I can say that the car is very different: more big rear wing, intercoolers ahead of rear wheels, new mudguards, new engine (Silhouette engine has 293hp, this 600 hp), effect tunnel of the car ( sorry, I don´t know the correct english words for this).
I believe that is a car very different.

I have photos scanned of Spanish magazines, but I don´t know if I would have problems of copyright if I put here the pics. Does anybody know if is legal???

He probably has something against the BMW M3 GTR as well, just like I had something against the Ford Escort Cosworth (that ran in GT as well!)
But in the end, if it fits in the GT rules, it's a GT I guess.
