Doesnt that much, just that most people would come to this section for V8 Supercar news, but everytime Marcos goes alright we get another thread about it. Dont think the F1 section gets a thread when Juan Pablo gets a good result.

So you would be TC protecting his patch-right?
You are in a minority of one-you made your comment-everyone else disagrees with you -so why keep commenting.
Another fantastic result for a really talented AUSTRALIAN on a very big stage-well done Marcos.

You don't think you're being a little bit officious?

I bet 99% of people who read this thread never go to the NASCAR forum, so how would they be aware of the discussion? I bet most people on the NASCAR forum don't want to talk about Marcos Ambrose.

Congratulations to the moderators are not moving it.

"The best Gridgirls in the act supercars" thread has even less relevance to Australiasian Touring Cars, yet has the privileged position of being classified as a "Hot Topic".

Interesting this thread is getting about 30 times the attention the V8 supertaxi round just completed in Queensland!

3 topics in the first two pages suggest otherwise. One more shouldnt upset them much, go try it out, im sure they'll play nice

Wouldnt say officious, just this forums title suggests

"Discussion on road racing categories such as V8Supercar, V8 Development Series, NZV8's, Aussie Racers, Asian Touring Cars, Targa Tasmania, V8Utes, Saloon Cars, IPRA, Commodore Cup, Marque Sports and any other ANZ&A tintops"

this isnt anything to do with any of those categories.

You trying to run your post count up? Ought to be clear that no one else is interested in what your saying.Take your wet blanket (is it green with envy?)and go post in TC thread--no one else is.

FWIW if you watched race and Marcos's performance it is enthralling entertainment.Any genuine motor racing enthusiast would enjoy it. Marcos is doing a great job both on & off the track and will have already opened a potential new career opportunity for other Australians(&Kiwi's) -and they will probably pass thru these threads!

Member since November 2005, have 351 posts, you really think im trying to get my count up? Curious as to what im envious about?

FWIW I watched the race, and think he is doing a stellar job over there, the race at Bristol is, for me, his most impressive performance to date. I hope he runs well next year with them and before his time is up over there makes the chase, I might even start a thread (in the appropriate place of course) about what people think his chances are of making the chase in the upcoming seasons.

Will go wash my green blanket now, its gotten a bit dirty dealing with this mess.

Biggy G - posts are made in the "appropriate forum", but not many Aussie fans venture down there which is why i posted it here in this forum, nothing else to it...

Hopefully more Aussie fans will now take part in the NASCAR forum after hearing of Marcos' good results...

Thanks for the heads up gomick, I have now caught 2 great NASCAR races from your reminders. :-)
NASCAR is kinda cool when you have someone to cheer for. Marcos is doing a great job over there.

And No, i wouldn't be looking in the NASCAR forum either..

How cool does Bristol Speedway look under lights!

Like a packed MCG, except twice the size. 180,000 people!

Might add Bristol to the 'before I die list'

you cant help but be impressed by it Driver. so many people and you can see the whole track, so you can see one of the good points about the series right there.

Now if only we could convert that to the v8's

But some fans think a 52sec lap at Symmons Plains is too short.

How would they cope with under 16sec like at Bristol?

From Fox Sport

Quote:
From the Major Leagues ...
Team owner Tad Geschickter has signed up another sponsor for the No. 47 team and Marcos Ambrose in 2010 — Lance Crackers.

This is the second former Nationwide Series team sponsor bargaining for more bang for the buck in the Sprint Cup Series with JTG Daugherty Racing. The company announced Saturday that Kleenex would support their Cup efforts in five races next year.

Given the current economy, most sponsors are adopting a conservative approach in NASCAR, opting for established Cup drivers over newcomers. With the promise Ambrose has shown this season — complimented by a vibrant personality — any sponsor willing to take a risk in the early stages of his development will likely reap the rewards down the road.
