Australian National Supertrucks

Just to give anybody a heads up if interested for a great day racing.

WHERE:Winton Raceway
WHEN:August 15/16th

Come along and watch 6tonnes tear up the track, the smell of diesel and spray of the water cooled brakes ... they are the giants of the racetrack and offer great racing at 160km/hr

Cheers
Brendan

Hopefully they'll have more than two flag marshals this time...

They'll certainly be standing well back from the action when the trucks are on the track as many of us remember what happened to Flag Point 5 a few years ago when it went head to head with a Kenworth and lost.

It will be a great weekend I believe, with HQ's, Super TT, FVee and Futureracers as the supports.

I'm not really old enough to remember the last time that the trucks were at Winton, so I shall be there with bells on

HQ's and FV I understand - but Super TT and Futureracers...have the latter managed to get a quarter decent field yet?

Not sure of the entries for Futureracers, or for any category for that matter.
I do know that the Volvo Turbo from Super TT is repaiired after its rollover at the last race meeting, and the BMW V8 should be in fine form to chase it's tail again. Here's hoping the other cars in that category (Gooch et al) manage to keep their cars working for the entire weekend.

Is Eastern Creek or Wakefield Park licensed to hold Supertruck meetings?

I forgot about Mallala - it is so unforgettable

Wanneroo - it was, I presume it may still be but not sure.

Calder - doesn't come under CAMS licencing system so can hold whatever it likes.

Trev, I believe a mutual friend of ours is making a potentially triumphant return to the infield that weekend, wearing yellow......

So back on Topic !

Has anyone seen entry numbers for Trucks, Futureracers, HQ Holden, Historic Touring and Super TT ?

With a forecast of Rain on Sunday I hope there are decent fields to make it a worthwhile weekend !

BTW, Big Trev, perhaps you could come out of retirement too........

The Great Barney is back from the wilderness too this weekend!!!!!!
