Porsche 911 GT1 British GT 1999

This is a sort of model question, but also a British GT championship question so please bear with me. A 1/43rd model is being released by Minichamps and is described as a Porsche 911GT1 British GT championship 1999, with the drivers listed as Stuck/Wollek/Boutsen/Dalmas/McNish! Is there any such car? Did it race? Any clues from anyone.
Cheers,
Mike

That's odd- the main 911GT1's that appeared in British GT that year were the two G-Force cars (the Blue Coral car usually for Geoff Lister/Magnus Wallinder and the Pennzoil one driven by various combinations of John Greasley, John Morrison, Thorkild Thyrring and others). The only other 911GT1 was the Parr Motorsport car which did the first round driven by David Saunders/Stephane Ortelli, but wasn't seen again.

Stuck/Wollek/Boutsen/Dalmas/McNish sounds more like the factory driver lineup from the FIA GT series in 1997 to me....

KA you beat me too I was going to post the same same information. But yes I would agree it does sound like and FIA GT Championship driver line from around 1997 or 98.

There was another one-off Porsche 911GT1 appearance in Brit GTs. David leslie and Matt Neal entered a Team Dynamics backed car in the 1998 Brit GP support race.

Apologies for answering my own question, but thanks to the Autobarn model board we may have the answer. It's the Ortelli/Saunders car, which also contains the names of drivers who have previously raced the car, hence the illustrious names above. There is a picture at,

The 'Team Dynamics' 911GT1 was the car that had been run in the first couple of rounds that year by Millennium Motorsport for John Nielsen and Thorkild Thyrring, until the budget ran dry- (there's a photo of it in it's yellow Millennium livery about half-way down this page: http://www.simonlewis.com/le-mans.html )

If memory serves, Matt Neal and Team Dynamics then leased it for the one-off outing at the Silverstone GP support race, mentioned by Graham

The only photos I think I've ever seen of it in TD colours would have been those in the race reports at the time- either Autosport or Motorsport News?

Theres a picture of it on the Team Dynamics posters the team gave out at the Autosport show and at the BTCC meetings, its the only picture Ive ever seen though.

Edit: After doing a little searching on Matt Neals site I've managed to find this picture:

I'm sorry to dig up this old thread. I hope it's allowed.

Does anyone have pictures of the Team Dynamics 911 GT1. I know it only raced one round so this might not be the easiest request but any help would be appreciated. If necessary contact me through PM.

Autosport published a pic, possibly in the Silverstone F.1 support race report. IIRC it was red, with Fuji Film and 100+ Wheels.

The GP support race was the only race the car was entered with the red livery. Does anyone happen to have it who can scan this picture for me?
