I'll be out, in the now familiar Honda CRX, with a few carefully planned (and badly executed ) changes...

Like to think I'll guest with you guys at some stage during the season - always likely to bring the Lancia kappa out for an early season runout, although its too darn fragile to do the DMN and the LMA. Got a Calibra Turbo 4x4 to use as spare car in LMA for when the Lancia doesn't want to play - might bring that out now and again in DMN if funds/schedules/Lancia repair costs allow - but won't be very competitive as I guess DMN put it in Class A - LMA have both the kappa and the Calibra in their B

You can always come out in the sports and saloons/tin-tops Nyssa.

Jamie if I remember hearing steve right its a BFO turbo.

I can't wait to see the calendar!

yes a 4x4 calibre would run in DMN class A and in the sports and saloons, but not at all in tin tops no 4x4 allowed in that

Possibly a couple of tintops rounds in the Nova, if funds allow - i'm attempting to retrain as a teacher, which from a nice City job is quite a pay cut! Gaz have sorted out some nice suspension bits for me, and Mad Dog was kind enough to give some suggestions on how to improve the car, so unless someone makes me a nice offer for it I'll keep it fettled for a better-off day.

Looking forward to a nice season of watching, though!

I'll be teaching Business Studies - if I can convince one of the Gov't bodies we all know and love to pay my meagre salary for a year. I'm "cover teaching" at the moment - a little bit of everything, but it's all in the same school, which is good.

Astra - some parts have gone, keep checking ebay if you want Vauxhall bits, tow cars or trailers!

Ashley has his 205GTi6 up for sale, I hope someone picks that up and keeps it in DMN.

The 206 has been for sale all season as far as I'm aware.

Lee's mini is also up for sale as far as I'm aware. I hope we're able to keep that in DMN too as it would be a shame to lose one of the fantastic minis.

Yeah Ashley's car has been for sale all season, now at a rather attractive reduced price. I'm sure he'll be out in his new car.

There will be a few new cars coming out of the Xsport workshops for next year, and I've decided to give my 205 turbo a miss and bought a Seat Leon, which I'm sure will be one of many in Class B.

Paul.

Im back next year, but gonna try and keep the old girl blemish free. Not a lot of changes this year, just a freshen up of the engine and a new 5 speed box

from memory its a rear wheeel drive 2.0 turbo, so i would expect it to run in class B where you will find most of the sierra cosworths and vw/seat 1.8 turbos

it is a 2.0 rwd turbo, but its gonna be giving away a couple of hundred bhp against the cosworths so maybe the DMN is not for me.

The class B Cossies run on single injectors, about 385 bhp. The Seat Leons give them a good run for their money, in fact Andy Thompson won the class in the championship with his Seat.

If you can peddle it fast enough you should be giving a few of the class A cars a run for there money but don't be supprised to see a mini in your rear view mirror (or a megane!) that is the fun of the DMN.come on try it you never know.....

Where do I find the regs for those Chezza so I can see what the Calibra needs left in it! Loathe to start stripping out parts until I've ruled out which series it might be OK for (LMA/DMN for sure) and which it can't play in (Pre-93, CMS so far) but not familiar with Sports and Saloons. Guess I have to run on treads on Tin-Tops but do they really allow 4wd turbo cars?

I'd say a fairly well sorted Starion should go well against the more 'standard' Cosworths (single injector).
They went well in the Modified Production Saloons recently, and BTCC years back. It was the 8-injector RS500 that whopped the lot of them, not the 4 injector Gp.N (and a bit) spec car.

It's probably not good ettiquete to suggest it on the DMN thread but I must admit although I like what they are doing if like me you feel they are a tad too fast for the car like they were for me in the Chevy, I would suggest and dependant of the spec of your car take a look at the CTRCC Pre-93's or soon to be revamped Classic Modified Saloons, there is already one or two running.

We also have a "tin top" class, for saloons running on MSA approved road tyres (list 1A and 1B). This will have a good sponsor next year, so should be attractive to drivers on a lower budget.

Woody, no drinking competitions ...

Last time we did that 2 guys from Fostek Axles looked rather wobbly at the end of the night and looked even worse in the morning .. Tom from Fostek dosnt call us 'shandy drinking poofters' no more

But the real reason we shouldnt start on that is ..... it will be a few months past the last race, and i'm sure having races round the dining area on sweet trollies won't go down too well
John will be wanting to have the biggest bloke in the room pushing him (the V8) and Andy will be have 20 blokes pushing him (the biggest crew ) .. while you quietly pedal your way past as the other two end up in a heap with Andy sticking his arm out the pile bodies with the camera held high saying " i got it on film !!!"

Greg and Martin meantime will still be at the startline saying ...

"no its your turn to drive"
"surely its yours"
"no i drove this one last time"
"shall we just buy some more cars?"
"why we have 20 allready"
"yes but who is going to drive this one"

On a serious note (if the DMN can ever be serious outside the racing) I look forward to next year, the cars are getting better and better, the mix getting more and more (highlighted by Jons pic of Gemma and Greg nose to tail) and the racing getting even more exciting ..... summed up at the last round by a Legends mechanic ..

" %$£$% me, thats of the best *&£$^T& racing i've &&^%$^ seen ever"

And as the title includes ' Regs ' ... heres my regulation .......

Keep doing what your doing and may the best Escort* win

* the yellow one
