Pi Dash

Are you using a usb lead with a convertor, if so you will need a specific one which you can get from Tony Kent http://www.tkracingservices.co.uk/?

Is there a license for your particular dash in the software, if not you need to contact Pi to sort that for you (usualy free).

Can you connect and watch channels?

Also do you have the latest Pi Club Windows software (not the one off the CD) which then works with WIn 7 and XP.

Cheers

Mark

Used to be a download from the Pi website, if not PM me your email and I will trya and send it to you.

With my computer with the PI USB I seem to have to push it down in the port to get it to work, probably a connection problem. Sometimes I have to trya few times. A pain but it works in the end.

Where in teh country are you? Im sure Tony will also be able to help as im sure he has seen teh problem before.

For those who have problems with this I found the following worked for me with a cheap and cheerful USB converter and gave consistent downloading:
1) Connect lead to data logger
2) Boot computer but do not start the Pi software
3) Plug in the USB lead and give it a moment for Windows to register that an external device has been plugged in.
4) Start the Pi software and download / configure the logger as required.

This assumes the use of a USB adapter that comes with a driver disk and that the drivers have all be installed correctly beforehand.

This method is now working consistently for me after a fair bit of frustration, pulling leads in and out, opening and closing the Pi software in response to error mesages, etc.
