Piquet to test BAR

Nelson Piquet Junior will join BAR Honda in Jerez this week where he will have the opportunity to drive a BAR Honda 006 car during the first day of the team's test programme.

British based "Nelsinho", the nineteen year old son of three-times Formula One World Champion Nelson Piquet, was extended this opportunity in recognition of his achievements in British Formula 3 last year, in which he became the youngest-ever winner of the series in October 2004.

Very interesting development. Could this be the start of another dynasty?

I'm not fully convinced by Nelsinho yet. He's had the best of everything in terms of support throughout his career (possibly as a reaction to the disapproval Nelson recieved from his parents (indeed, he changed his last name to try and stop them finding out that he raced)) - lots of moeny and top people thrown at his teams, as well as 100% support ahead of team-mates. He's got potential, but clearly his name is going to be a big help.
