mdaro should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Baltimore GP Officially Cancelled

Got an email from Andretti Motorsports, it's all over the news now. Cancelled for the next two years which means forever most likely.

Good. They can replace it with a real track.

Marcus666 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Road America or Mont Tremblant. QUICK, THERE IS NO TIME! (Liam Neeson quote).

I'm very sad, I loved the races and it was a great place to have IndyCar and ALMS races. I hope that in 2015 they visit Baltimore again.

Road America is on the schedule, don't even know how that's a question.

No, it's not. There are NO NEW VENUES on the 2014 schedule, at least, that's been the word from Walker and Miles.

And if they really do compress the domestic season, there isn't going to be room to add more anyway, because it would be too many consecutive weekends of racing, and a number of the teams wouldn't be able to keep up with it.

Road America hasn't found the demanded sanction fee from IndyCar to be too enticing, and when you consider that the USCC sanction will be up from either the GA or ALMS sanctions fee individually, that isn't going to gain the boys in Indy any traction.

Last I heard, Watkins Glen felt like they couldn't draw a large enough crowd with IndyCar, and so they thought they might consider it, IF the NASCAR Trucks were running there as part of the weekend also.

Face it, there isn't a suitable, permanent road course on the East Coast for IndyCar to run. Lime Rock is too small. Thunderbolt is a high-end club circuit, but is lacking in some areas, especially when it comes to spectator accommodation. Summit Point is not up to an adequate standard to host IndyCar, ALMS, etc. Watkins Glen and VIR are quite a ways inland, and are both a substantial drive from the larger cities: New York, Boston, Philadelphia, D.C., Baltimore, and Hampton Roads.

Densely urbanised areas are often politically unstable and temperamental about these things. Looking through the history of the sport visiting a venue for two or three years is not that uncommon. Par for the course really. Without knocking any one particular venue unduly, I don't like an over dependence on street races .

That is something that seems to be opposite of most other events, usually sounded like the trucks were an add-on most tracks really didn't want. To be tied to a trucks event might be the ultimate slap in the face, and has to make them defensive.
