Me too Moneyseeker - my vote is for Grosjean, good effort with a new team and a nice piece of level-headed driving to get it home and to do so in P6.

Grosjean. Starting 19th, finished on the Top 6. It's like Mark Webber's début in 2002, where he finished 5th.

But however, I would pick on others:
Vettel would be my pick: made an unbelievable start, but wouldn't win. Palmer would be my pick: had a battle with Bottas, and then both Toro Rossos. Magnussen would be my pick: thanks to the red flag which made him "bounce back"...

BTW, @Born Racer, on your poll Verstappen's name says "Mad Verstappen"

I picked Vettel, only let down by Ferrari's strategy.

Honourable mentions go to Grosjean, for the reasons above, and to Palmer. Finished outside the points, but while I think there is more to come speed-wise he has alread shown in this race that there is absolutely nothing wrong with his wheel to wheel racing - he had some good battles with his more experienced rivals.

Undoubtedly a superb drive by Grosjean for Haas's debut GP but I thought Nico Rosberg deserved it. Not the best start but made up for that by getting on with it, not deviating from the plan and it paid off. Looks like he's continuing this season where he left off last season.

RG and Haas leveraged the red flag perfectly, 6th place without an official pit stop,...cool! Fred was lucky, that was a "come to Jesus moment!"

I dithered between Rosberg and Vettel. Eventually picked Vettel because of that fantastic start and generally being on the pae right through. Ferrari's stupid tyre strategy cost him dearly, but it wasn't his fault. Then I remembered him dropping it near the end when he had a strong chance of grabbing second, so maybe I should have given it to Rosberg.

Vettle for me, he has the right attitude, and it's not his fault his teams stratagist isn't as clever as James Vowels.

Went with Grosjean. Sure he got gifted track position but he then kept it for the entire second half of the race, in a car that I was expecting to be down with the Manors.

Big thumbs up to formula1.com for now removing current time distances relative to the leader, meaning the live timing's only use is current lap times. @ssholes!

How about Gutierrez for showing his concern for Alonso, immediately after stepping out of his own wrecked car, and not showing any petulance about being taken out of the race.

Sportmanship indeed.

Let's face it everyone else simply did their job to theb est of their ability.

Hmm? I have not actually voted just yet, as I am torn between the Haas pair, Lewis.

Grosjean, for sixth place, Gutierrez for reasons above, or Lewis for not arguing with the team's decision to go with the harder tyre.

Difficult choice.

Good call Baub. I'm sure that the accident was a hell of a shock for both of them and seeing Alonso crawling out of his destroyed McLaren was a great relief.

I voted for Grosjean - ok he lucked in with the red flag but he held position after that with no real difficulty. Honourable mention for Palmer (who did far better than I thought he would).

Everyone else really did nothing out of the ordinary (at least nothing positive). Hamilton botched the start, Vettel fell off the road, Rosberg got lucky with Ferraris stupid strategy handing him the race on a plate.

I assume Jos Verstappen is still walking around the circuit collecting all the toys Max threw out?

Baa, I picked Grosjean. There were a lot of good picks yesterday, but his refusal to capitulate when he could easily have done so and his obvious joy (proper joy, not PR joy) at getting in the points was brilliant to hear. "I don't even know where we finished!"

It was a positive outcome of that accident. I think Gutierrez was on the radio very quick to say he was OK and to ask about Alonso. In a later interview he mentioned looking in his mirrors (he was in the runoff backwards) at the resulting carnage and being concerned for Alonso.

that got me and a great point. im going to use my vote for EG. actually wish i could vote for Alonso as well but if i can only pick one its EG for the sportsmanship .

lots of great drives for sure but seeing EG run over, Alonso getting out of the car, and the two showing genuine concern for each other was a special moment and a moment of great relief.
