Boris Said

Boris was on Dave Despain's "Wind Tunnel" last night on Speed Channel. Boris spoke a lot of sense and would be an ideal replacement for Max Mosley.

Erki has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
What's the idea then?

Boris made quite a few comments about the US Grand Prix. Like Ecclestone he is an ex Motorcycle dealer (except Boris was an official dealer selling Hondas!) he has run marketing companies and although in his 40's is very fast!

Any examples of what Boris said (sorry)? Or indeed, any reason why this is in the NASCAR forum rather than the Formula 1 forum?

Boris sees his future as a full time Nextel cup driver; Boris was saying that Nascar get problems sorted out and would not have let a situation like the US Grand Prix arise!

Anyone else see the programme?

Hm... - wasn't Ecclestone a used car dealer, and what does that have to do with anything? Besides, Hondas weren't around when Ecclestone was trading so he couldn't have been... - you get the drift.

I happened, more or less by accident, to witness the beginning of Boris' European career, what must have been his third or fourth race over here when he drove that black Callaway Corvette in the German GT series at Salzburgring (weather was awful), and saw him conquer the Nürburgring this year (again, the weather was awful...) together with "brother Hans". I like the way everything he drives is "the best thing ever"

Anyway, back to the story, what did he say?

edit: just seen your reply.

Bernie started with used motorcycles and then cars. Boris was the youngest ever Honda dealer principal in his early 20's.
