milesinfront should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Wots this all about then?

In regards to this brake disc:-

I believe it is standard issue for the Australian Super V8's...

What is the science behind this slot configuration?

Is it worth replicating on my Formula Ford?
(if not just for 'wow' factor alone? )

Cheers

Rick

1200Datto27 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
The curved slots are less prone to creating cracks compared to straight cut slots as the radius stops cracks that form from propagating, whereas a straight cut slot will create a weak point that the crack can follow (the cracks like to follow the path of the lowest resistance, and a straight groove is just that).

Yep. at about 10 o'clock on the sidewall is the marking LF, meaning left front.

I can see a problem though. There isn't enough nuts holding the wheel on for a formula ford in this country.

Its a center locking wheel which means its an alloy wheel of some kind and FF1600 kent must use steel wheels. A bit of a rigmarole but there you go.

hehehe, down here we get to run alloy wheels!

In 2011 they will let us run 22' wheels with chrome spinners!

I thought that you only needed one nut holding the wheel for Formula Ford...

It looks 'pretty', but a flotaing disc on an anodised alloy hat would be much more impressive!
