The all important weather details for the Marcos Ambrose homecoming weekend:

Friday-partly cloudy 19

Saturday- mostly sunny 21

Sunday -partly cloudy 21.

First qualifying on Friday could be interesting with a south westerly flow then moderating later in the day.

This information is supplied by the Bureau of Meteorology who some days have the ability to forecast their own lunch break, but other days rely on Tarot card readings or throwing darts at the wall to make up the weather.

Some fight? Some mongrel? A willingness not to give up? Something to back up the pages and pages of press releases and hype? Some (former) champion type tenacity?

If everyone who wasn't up to speed stepped down we'd have 8 cars running each weekend.

Shame for the poor fans who have bought in on all the hype and maybe spent dollars on merchandise too. What a crock.

your suggesting its over, when most likely it is not.

Marcos or the team have not made an announcement to say its over

just a rumour from people who dont know.

Another forum posted TV times saying that the Foxtel TV coverage ends at 4pm on the Sunday...

That is awfully earlier compared to the push for later finishes in previous years... 4pm is also a very early finish for the trackside spectators (or is there a support race after the last V8 race perhaps?)

I have no information here more than anybody but I am in the camp that you can't be half pregnant. I am really not sure you can pull out like this if you are going to be back and be competitive. Providing of course that this is motivated by confidence/performance, which we really don't know.

Plenty of people pull out without outright saying it, it is easier to just fade away.

most drivers got fast there at the end on new wet tyres

all 5 brands in top ten.


maybe marcos should have stayed in the car in the wet, the great equaliser. although Sat and sun are not meant to be wet

was oil on the track at the start of P2 and the outfield was wet but the tack was dry

Clowndes spent a lot of time of the racing line but managed a quick lap near the end for p3.

But PRA lead the session and 4 cars in top 11 (or 3 in top ten)

Erebus were again quick in P2. last year will scored a p4 here in the benz

More like powerboat racing with the rooster tails on the back straight, but everyone survived.

A lot of water on the track particularly in the first two turns.

Bloody hell it was freezing on the hill-7 degrees during practice.

Practice 2

Fine conditions and rapidly drying track.

What are the new bright red aerodynamic aids on the Pepsi max Falcon?

Lowndes has had more spins than a Mat Hall aerobatic routine, but still fast.

Wilbur has the Merc, circulating very quickly.
