Hendrick infringements

Johnson and Gordon lose their crew chiefs for six races, docked 100 driver and owner points and fined. How much will this affect their charge? Will it make any difference?!

Flaming_Wuzzle should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Not in the least. Both teams have plenty of points and money to spare, and the absence of crew chiefs won't matter, especially for Johnson's team since they seem to spend more races without Knaus than with him. They're used to it by now.

Hendrick has officially announced that they will not try to appeal the sanctions against them.

Jimmie seemed to do fine without Knaus in the first 4 races of last year (1st, 2nd, 1st and 7th I believe??) so it won't make a difference at all.

haha, fair point!

I guess, with the 'Chase' it doesn't really make a whole lot of difference anyway, they could probably park the #24 and #48 until it starts and they'd still qualify!

With the Chase the point penalties do not mean anything. I was a little surprised by Hendricks statement that they expected more give and take with NASCAR and the CoT as its being implemented. First, when has NASCAR ever allowed any give and take to occur. Second, after several races with the CoT without any rules problems they should know how to build the car correctly. Third, after Dale Jr's rules violation earlier in the season they know what the penalties are. Not saying they were attempting to cheat, but they can't really push blame onto NASCAR here.

It is a fine line. I hope that Nascar doesn't get to the point where it is the same as putting the drivers in an IROC car.
