Are the cars still for sale though, some of those ads are seriously old! What happened to all the old legend cars?

Just because the ads are old doesnt get past the advertised price. Have a look at the Tucker Time cars, thats not a good price for anyone trying to sell another car. Even winning cars are being discounted to try and get rid of them, and the owners wont say anything negative until they are sold.

I think the legends are gathering dust in many back sheds.

GTR its understandable. As a business its not very profitable when there are not many race meetings. I wonder if Phil will buy it? LOL

Does this truck come with an Engineer?

You'd need a Degree to work out how to load it...

We had to negotiate, just as you do with any sale but we were happy with the result.

Will be interesting to see how all the cars get up to the gold coast if Murray is selling his transporter. I might have to go along and have a look.

So it looks like they sold a NASCUP car to some poor sod who cant race it anywhere. Would be alright for track days where you dont need a log book.

I dont understand why everyone is so negative all of the time.

No matter what class of racing there is always discontent because you simply cannot please everyone all of the time but by the sounds of these threads Mr Ward is a little biased toward those in the inner sanctum versus those on the outer...

Surely though, with sooooooo many people upset with him, a united drivers group could be set up to formulate & present to him some 'sensible compromises' to see if some resolve can be achieved ?

It's a fabulous class to watch & I'll bet just as much fun to race in (politics to one side for now) so lets try & keep it going rather than willing it to die !!!

I'd love to suggest Ducati V twin engined versions but it's yet another class & probably not what they need at present BUT just imagine the sound of 20-30 throaty Ducati's screaming around in close formation - bring it on

.

Yes

Obviously there are a lot of problems with the series but has a united group of drivers approached him with a list of suggestions that will work with the current series structure as well as addressing the various driver issues ? If the answer is yes then I understand but if not....

I really like watching this class & want it to survive & prosper - I didnt mean to stand on any toes by asking if everything possible has been done to stop it from imploding...

Have fun
I was also a fan of the ARC, I loved it, but I had a couple of interactions with wardy one weekend to make me think that he is the most pig-headed person that i have met.

Im not a competitor, and probably never will be in any category () but my incident with him has coloured my vision of the category somewhat permenantly.

FWIW, its good racing, and on the shorter tracks (like winton) the amount of passing that goes on is amazing

Thanks peckstar & yeah they do seem a bit pi**ed. Just hope there are as many supporters of the class as there are 'bashers'

I agree with your sentiment too, ARC is always awesome to watch - especially at circuits like Bathurst, Indy GC etc :-)

I think you'll find that most of us on here enjoyed what ARC had to offer. The racing is still great to watch, on the right size track mind you. Thou some of us got a little more than we bargain for once we took that level of enjoyment to another level.

Oh, and you might think that we're all "bashing" ARC, you should see some of the stuff that goes on elsewhere in Australian motor sport, and I'm not just talking about categories.

OK .... I have been patiently waiting for someone else to ask the question....

Where were the Aussie Racing Cars on the weekend?

I looked at natsoft and was surprised at the small (lack of) support categories, but ARC was supposed to be there for the last round of their 'series'.

Did someone rock the boat? or forget to pay the bill? Does anyone know?

Phil... (Jim) whats going on?

Dont know how right it is but apparently they motors are going to be upgraded with Hyabussa motors. While it will make them faster could create lots of problems.
