JEB has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Sports And Saloon Races At Walter Hayes Trophy

The British Racing Drivers' Club will be holding two Allcomers Races for Sports and Saloon cars at the Walter Hayes Trophy meeting on the weekend November 4-6th.

The races will take place around the Silverstone National Circuit, and Entry Forms are available from the BRDC now.

FRIDAY 4th NOVEMBER
SRC FRIDAY SHOOTOUT
15 minute qualifying
12 lap race
Entry Fee: £100

SATURDAY 5th NOVEMBER
8 CLUBS ALLCOMERS RACE
15 minute qualifying
Two 10 lap races
Entry Fee: £160

If it's not a single-seater then it is eligible. Simple as that.
These are traditional end-of-season Allcomers Races that form part of the prestigious Walter Hayes Trophy weekend.

The 8 Clubs races will be recorded for SKY Television.

Only 34 cars can start each race, so entry space is limited.
Enter now to avoid disappointment.

Contact: James.Beckett@brdc.co.uk
for further details and Entry Forms.

James,
Dropped you an email last week but no reply/entry form - did you get it? I'll probably be up for it if my rib heals in time...

For 2005 the WHT is about FF1600 and its chosen support races.
I am sorry I am unable to look after every category!

Back to the chase....Sports and Saloon drivers wanted.......
Only 34 starting positions in each race available...if you have entry forms, get them back quickly.

If you don't have forms, email: James.Beckett@brdc.co.uk and ask for them to be emailed to you.

Thinking about doing it (still no entry form as of 5pm yesterday, James...) but me/my car can only manage about 1:15 around Silverstone - will I be out the back or will I have someone to race with?

Send another e-mail to James. I don't think he has been in the office as much as he would have liked lately, so your e-mail could well have been drowned.

I am sure he would like to receive your entry!

I've sent off my entry and my Triumph Spitfire does similar times so you won't be alone

Cheers

Entries are really rolling in now for the 8 Clubs races at the WHT meeting.
Great mix of cars entered - if you haven't entered yet, and are planning to do so, I suggest you return your forms as quickly as possible. It would be a shame to miss out on racing at the WHT (and your moment of TV fame in the televised races...)

Space still available for the SRC Friday Shootout also.

If you don't have entry forms, email: James.Beckett@brdc.co.uk

Maybe it would be worth having a Vee support race in 2006?

Clearly they could not muster entry numbers anything near as large as the FF1600s, but would be worth a supporting role...

Stop winding him up John!

I would be keen for Vees and FF1600 to appear at the same meeting on one occasion certainly during 2007 - the 40th anniversary of both categories in the UK - and this would be the ideal meeting I would think. The one danger of this is that the Vee races are likely to be considerably more entertaining than the FF1600 ones.

However, both FF1600 and FVee should also have there own celebration events.

Vee's and FF1600 compete at the same events regularily in Ireland. To be fair I think they are both as entertaining as each other. There have been occassions over there wher Vees and FF1600's run together..........Makes for an interesting race!!

Thanks Graeme - only just looked at Ten-Tenths again.

The trouble is running a meeting of his size on a singleton makes keeping an eye on all these forums difficult!
