Looks like the ADAC Procar Series is having a name change.

Plus Maurer Motorsport plan on entering two Chevrolet Aveo's.

it needs what they needs all touring series. so it needs manufactures!

Not sure about the point of the name change. Yes, the name "ADAC Procar" wasn't so great. But - we now have in Germany the Deutsche Tourenwagon Challenge alongside the Deutsche Tourenwagon Masters. A bit confusing for the casual follower isn't it?

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this eactly what WTCC is running at the moment?

Not quite, WTCC is 1.6 turbo only this year. The older 2.0 NA cars are only allowed on a race-by-race basis and not eligible to score points..

Still, the ADAC Procar/DTC (division 1) is compliant with WTCC regs, which are dead by now - according to some naysayers. Small wonder they're accepting S2000 in both 2.0 and 1.6t flavours, since there's not that many units of the latter available (yet?).
