20 years since infamous 1999 Calder ATCC round

The current edition of Auto Action in its Archive section that looks back at old editions of AA makes mention that it is 20 years since the infamous Demolition Derby 1999 Calder Park Touring Car round.

First we had Justin Cotter do this late on Saturday afternoon resulting in a helicopter ride to hospital and a long recovery.

Next day we had this happen.

All in all an eventful weekend for the emergency services side of the event.
